Great wee pub with karaoke  although can be a bit crowded and take a bit of time to get servedLocation: 4/5

Friendly locals help give this pub a good atmosphere... Annoying thing is when you try and pick up outside, the people at the gym next door park all over the place rather than use the car park...Rooms: 3/5

We stayed on a Saturday night. The welcome was fantastic....prior to checking-in, we inquired  where we could park. The owner immediately re moved her own car from a parking space adjacent to the bar to allow us to park. We received lots of helpful info during our check-in. Our room was above the bar area and we were made aware that the bar would be very noisy until 12:30. We had expected noise when we booked...it is a bar after all. Indeed it was noisy. The bar is very lively and has a great atmosphere. We had a couple of drinks and everyone was friendly. Breakfast is Continental. Sufficient selection of cereals, bread, cheese & yoghurt. We loved the friendliness of everyone we met. If you're on a budget, this is a great stop-over. Edinburgh is only 25 minutes by train. Spotlessly clean, well appointed room for the price, friendly staff and patrons.

Lorraine the manageress makes sure everything runs smoothly here & goes out her way to help. Rooms are spacious,clean & big comfortable bed,en suite with towels & toiletries provided. Tea/ coffee making facilities in room  & continental breakfast next morning. On Friday & Saturday there is a karaoke .however this finished at a decent time so did not disturb those residing

Great wee pub very welcoming and fair price

I've just been to a family "do" here and I can't speak highly enough of the lovely staff and good sized rooms.  There is a warm and informal atmosphere which suited our small to medium crowd.  I would highly recommend this place to anyone.  Thank you to the lovely lady who helped behind the scenes:

For a quiet Monday night was great out for a couple well maybe four Donna behind bar Pete on the wing what more could the average bathgate punter want x

Fantastic staff, lovely room, cosy and warm. Made to feel so welcome, great info on what was going on in town. Will definitely come back. Price was very reasonable, included breakfast.Rooms: 5/5
