I'm sure the place will grow on me, its a typical working class boozer. Hobgoblin IPA on tap was marvellous. Worth a visit.Service: 3/5
The food is cheap and plentiful. The Steak and Kidney pudding was amazing. Very generous portion, and served with buttery mash and veggies, with an extra side jug of gravy. You'll not leave there hungry!! Been twice now, will go again.
Lovely staff, friendly cheeky locals, two beautiful dogs patrolling the balcony upstairs and a menu that reminds me of an old school cafe and caters fantastically for vegetarians. Absolutely top class chips!

What an unbelievably welcoming family, fantastic people looked after us over a few days, have the Tower Burger, amazing! Honestly can't thank you all enough for making a few of us strangers feel so welcome, promise we'll be back again soon!
This is a real lovley place to stop by! New owners in place are providing a real great family friendly atmosphere. Staff were all polite and friendly, food there was amazing and definitely need to try the seafood tagliatelle here! Great it's dog friendly too!
Great pub , great atmosphere. Now become a regular as the food has been so good. Friendly crowd, never any trouble. Great to watch sport in or have a great meal or listen to one of the many bands they have perform. All in all 5 star .
Had a present evening in here whilst visiting Dover for work. Wasn't initially what I expected in side as the decor is quite modern. The cook was off that week so I didn't get to sample the food. However the beer was good and well kept and the Bar staff friendly and welcoming. The place on the whole had a nice atmosphere and I had an enjoyable evening.
Visited yesterday for lunch had the all day breakfast. Was cooked lovely especially mushrooms and tomatoes. Fed up going to various places for breakfast and getting anaemic looking mushrooms and hard fresh tomatoes. Will definitely visit again
