We stayed for week in a Garden Room during a visit to Cornwall with my wife during a heat-wave. The room was large and airy with two bathrooms. The staff had put a large fan in the room and it was running when we went in and it kept the room at a comfortable temperature during the stay. We had breakfast every morning included. The service was quick and efficient with helpful, friendly and polite staff, the food and choice were excellent. There was plenty of parking at the hotel and the bar was great with a cool outside seating area. There was complimentary Wi-Fi in the room and it was acceptable, albeit a bit slow. This was the only slight negative about the accommodation and I am being particularly picky as otherwise the experience was fantastic. The hotel and surroundings were lovely and we were very glad we picked this hotel for what was a fantastic stay in Cornwall.
Fabulous & castle style hotel with all modern comfort!nHighly recommended. Beautiful hotel with great staff. We had supper at the hotel restaurant & it was wonderful. We had fresh sole & pork belly, which were cooked to perfection. There are lots of parking for the guests. Our room was very spacious, super comfortable with superb greenery views. Will return to this gorgeous hotel next time in town.
We held our wedding here on Saturday what an amazing venue! The alverton staff were all so helpful nothing was too much to ask! The food was amazing and super tasty! The events team did such an amazing job of bringing our vision to life. Claire went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly, I honestly can’t thank her enough! The grounds are beautiful perfect for wedding pictures. The rooms are spacious particularly for the chaos of wedding mornings. Thankyou for everything. Eve and Tom xx
We have just spent 5 nights here and everything has been excellent. Clean, cosy and comfortable room. Super king size bed and big rainfall shower. Breakfast was always good quality and the staff have been consistently friendly and professional throughout the stay. Can’t comment on the restaurant as we always ate out. Overall I feel the hotel offers excellent value for money and the location is ideal as a base for exploring Cornwall. The town centre is only a 10 minute walk as well. I would definitely return.
I stayed this weekend and firstly I have to talk about how beautiful room 55 is - The Captain Suite. If you ever get the chance to stay in this room you should. The high ceilings give it such a royal feel, everything in there was so plush, and comfortable but still high end and luxurious.nnThe food and drink were incomparable.nnStarting with the food, shout out to Ollie the head chef, he has absolutely mastered his craft. Even if you don't get a chance to stay over, you should go for a meal. I'm a vegetarian and sometimes finding food I like is hard, but Ollie & his team are impressive. Our server Fred I think it was Fred, sorry if wrong! was absolutely lovely too.nnWe had a bit of a cocktail night - we're getting married here in September because it's the most beautiful venue - to see what our his & her cocktails we want, and bloody hell, Alex & Molly know what they're doing. We had at least 9 different cocktails and each one could have been their cocktail of the week. They were superb, they know their flavours exceptionally well.nnEach time I've been to the Alverton the service is so warm and friendly yet professional. They have such a good team and they're such a credit to to the hotel. Can't wait to get married here and with the fabulous Clare and Sally helping me plan I know it'll be one hell of a day.nnYou have to stay here!! You won't regret it - promise x
