Whilst this place has had its ups and downs we've always found it welcoming and friendly. Has recently been taken over and am very much looking forward to trying the new menu. Great for families, it's a nice, light and open pub that leans towards a traditional style. One of the few pubs in Truro that has a pool table too.

For the price charged £120/night this leaves a lot to be desired. The room itself is warm, however certainly needs a coat of paint as well as a new door stop that the door doesn't just slide over and create a huge dent in the wall.  The main reason a 3 is given however is the breakfast in the morning. No tables set up for breakfast, coffee machine 'turned off last night', no sugar or milk given with the tea we were given, we had to pour milk from the cereal table into a glass.  Final pont, it was FREEZING, no heating in the bar for the breakfast guests.

Not good.  Room was okay but the service and breakfast very poor.  Charging hotel room rates would not go back or recommend.

Went there for drinks with a friend who had mobility issues. They were very accommodating and looked after us really well.
