"On Prince’s Street in the centre of town, Truro Lounge is on a great little corner site. We serve a really great range of food and drinks including kids, gluten free and vegan menus in welcoming, laid back, bright and bold interiors. There’s a lot to like here, but our best feature could be the huge terrace with canopies and sensor heating, perfect in pretty much any Cornish weather! It’s adorned with some beautiful bold murals - we’re particularly fond of our big armed smiley castanet lady. Of course."

Came here for my friends and mine joint birthday celebrations had an amazing time. The food and drinks were spectacular, service was outstanding and quick and the place was clean and tidy.. Will definitely be going here again in the near futureFood: 5/5
Lively place with lovely staff Love the QR system for ordering and paying Would have given 5 but the food was a bit slow coming from kitchen but it was busy Saturday lunchtime but everything else was great. We had pancakes milk shake then coffee when you order you are given options for decaf and the sort of milk you wanted And because of QR ordering we didn't have to catch waiters eye to get somthing else Would definitely go again
As one of the staff described The Lounge; it’s like a glamorous, spruced up Weatherspoon. What I think he was referring to was the prices. Not over priced and just a comfy, cosy room place to pop into when out in the town.
Foods tasty although portions are not big and staff we had were not that great throwing a plate in from of you. But it’s still worth dropping in.
Food was really nice. Quite expensive but the friendly service from the staff really does make up for it :
Cozy and relaxed setting with lovely staff and good service. The food is good, albeit a little ‘chain restaurant’ feeling sometimes. The decent price point makes up for that, though. I will definitely return for more edamame guacamole and honey whipped feta soon! Recommended dishesTapas, Avocado, Halloumi
Service was slow, full tray of drinks spilled over me, followed by server laughing. Food was good though. I have now upgraded my review as the General Manager has been in touch following his holiday hence the lack of response. Nice man, very apologetic, and all is now resolved fairly. To reiterate, the food was good, and we shall return.
A really nice place with lots of variation on the menu. However on our last visit I found my favourite brunch meal of bacon hash had disappeared. That was a big blow! Vegetarian options: Seemed to offer a good selection. Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly. The kids are given a menu to colour in with crayons. Wheelchair accessibility: I would say the downstairs is very wheelchair accessible. There is also a downstairs loo. Dietary restrictions: It gives all the ingredients on the menu and the waiting staff ask if there are any dietary restrictions. Always best to inform them though.
We love the Lounge in Truro, have been there many times-great place, staff always really good, love the food, but for the second time today we have had to send our food back because it was nearly cold. This happened at Christmas we were in a hurry on that occasion and didn’t have time to wait for a replacement, and again a few weeks ago. It seems to be an issue at Truro as we have never had this problem at St. Ives or the Seco Lounge in Plymouth. Staff have always dealt with the problem in an exemplary manner, and we have continued to go back hoping it would improve, but enough is enough, and we are unlikely to go there again because of this. Wheelchair accessibility: My wife uses a mobility scooter and has never had a problem at the Lounge, always room to park it and a disabled toilet downstairs.
Poor experience for me. Long slow queue to order, food didn’t arrive after 45 min on a quiet weekday so asked if it had been forgotten. It then arrived immediately but was the wrong food. Also the taste was totally bland and over cooked. 2 stars for the prices which are fine.
