I came up for a road trip with my mum and we had to stop here! It is amazing and definitely worth the visit. The grounds are spectacular and there’s loads to see and walk around. The bamboo maze was really cool.nThe poison garden itself was a great little tour and our tour guide Anika was really passionate and made the tour really memorable, enjoyable and engaging!nWe highly recommend as a fabulous day out!
Great on a warm day, beautiful fountains. The garden of death lasts about 20 minutes, with new groups going in every 30 minutes.nWe arrived for opening 10am and had seen everything by about 1pm. The food was a little pricey, £6+ for a ham sandwich. There was an offer of a breakfast sandwich and coffee for £5.95 but the queue was massive. Lots of people brought packed lunches.
Great for kids! I was surprised at how baby friendly this place was. You can easily take a stroller around, and there's loads for kids to do. Highly recommend for a family day out!
The gardens are well priced. Extremely well maintained, with many things to see, you can easily spend a few hours here. There are places to eat and an interesting gift shop. The Poison Garden tour is well worth a visit, at no extra cost and lasting around 20 minutes.
Party of 6 adults.nStart with the good stuff.nStaff were mostly lovely and very helpful.nWe started our walk around the cherry tree walk and followed the path around all of thè other areas. Beautiful gardens. One of our party was in a wheel chair and the whole garden was wheel chair accessible.nThe poison garden walk was made incredible by a very funny and knowledgeable lady called Barbara, she was 10 nWhy only 3 stars.nIn the cafe there was one woman serving coffees and teas doing a stellar job at 1.30pm but there was hardly any cakes left, no milk, no knifes to spread butter.nOn the way out we went the booking office to up grade the tickets to take advantage of the yearly offer but were told we couldn't despite being told by another member of staff we could. On the Web site it's says you can upgrade upto a week after visiting. She was adamant we couldn't. They need to tell the staff and upgrade the website. Not a happy bunny.
