Roza was a great waitress! She gave sound advice about the menu, drinks, and even nearby landmarks. She made sure my husband I were taken care of while at the restaurant and during our first time visit to London. Her recommendations were spot on and we loved the food and drinks we got! Would highly recommend visiting this pub and getting served by her again.
Great mix of British classics and cozy atmosphere makes it a great spot for casual meals. Pan Fried Chalk Stream Trout - Well-cooked piece of trout served with yellow courgettes. The trout is tender and flavourful. Blue Boar Club - This club sandwich is a solid choice for a satisfying meal. Combines crispy bacon, tender chicken, and rich garlic mayo between toasted bread. The skin-on fries are crispy and well-seasoned.
This place is such a vibe. From the time you enter till you leave everyone is extremely welcoming and kind. The fancily named fish and chips is delicious and light and flaky and the crust is airy, not too dense or heavy. The two very British men next to me were raving about the burger as well as the fish and chips, so I don’t think you can go wrong with either option. The Hugo spritz hit the spot too. This was my first stop upon landing in London and it was great choice.
Get in! Super nice staff and really good food. I loved the aesthetics of the place. As a tourist I hesitated to get in but they were super nice and friendly. I would totally come back. Prices are in range and food is delicious.Food: 5/5
We stopped in for Sunday Roast and a respite from our travels about town. Kelly was our server and could not have been more kind, attentive and helpful. The food was fantastic. The roast was melt in your mouth tender complimented by a delicious horseradish sauce. Yorkshire pudding and roast potatoes were solid as well but the parsnips were a revelation. Yes, I am raving about parsnips!!!! Never thought I'd see that day. Cool and relaxing atmosphere with jazz and classic rock playing softly. What a great afternoon break. Highly recommeded.
Priscilla was absolutely lovely! Service was better than expected and the food was ravishing. We had Sunday roast beef, Sunday pork roast, lamb shoulder, pasty and potato soup. All of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Highly recommend! Food: 5/5
The food was so delicious! The inside of the pub is very well cleaned and I like the feature of the towels in the toilets. Finally, we only had to wait 15 minutes for food. Exquisite!Food: 5/5
Booked table for dinner but got assigned to a drink table. We had to ask them to move us to proper dining table eventually. We had a nice and friendly waiter who took our order. Unfortunately, the service went downhill afterwards. It took over half hour for our food to arrive. Scotch Eggs were ok. Dirty Burger the meat was overcooked, Pork Belly was a bit tough and it’s very small in portion. Panna Cotta was probably the only dish that we enjoyed. Almost £50 per person with slow service and mediocre food, don’t think we will go back.
This was such an incredible experience! Priscila was the nicest and most kind person. She suggested the Sunday Roast, and it truly was the perfect meal on my 17th and final day of Holiday! I am so happy I came here. And the people as we walked in were beyond welcoming and kind as well. Fantastic and Bravo!Food: 5/5
Tyrell was a very friendly and welcoming waiter indeed and really looked after us! Very nice chap, thank you. Front of house also greeted us with warmth and smiles - fabulous all round! Good drinks menu; house lager good quality, but our food wasn't great. Cooked well but nothing special. Nice atmosphere and very comfy seating.
