Story

Now I know a lot of people know the Acropolis in Ormskirk,but we are finally entering the 21st century and joining facebook.
For those who don't know the Acropolis heres a little info about us and what we do best....

As you may of guessed we sell the all british meal of fish and chips but we also offer a large range of chinese meals cooked by our very own chinese chefs Peter and Steven who are well trained and extremly friendly.

If chinese isn't your thing then why not try one of our burgers or kebabs? They are all grilled in the shop infront of you and ready in ten minutes.

The staff are very welcoming so come down and say hello and sample a bit of what we do best....hope to see you soon :)

Absolutely brilliant chippy, sells all kinds of different food , the staff are lovely very welcoming and friendly and prices are reasonable, highly recommend this place. Never been disappointed with anything I've brought really enjoyed it Food: 5/5
Called in today 20th October on my way to Southport. Had my heart set on a kebab but they no longer serve them at lunch time. So my second choice was a sausage dinner. I have to say the dinner is pricey but the food was lovely. Peas, gravy, sausage and chips all very tasty and plentiful.
This establishment needs to learn the fundamentals of supply and demand. IF YOU CAN’T MEET DEMAND, THEN STOP TAKING ORDERS! Passing through Ormskirk and thought, let’s get a quick chippy. 50 minutes later I was given a fancy box and thought maybe it was worth the wait but when I opened it, immediately my eyes started to sting with the stench of cheap vinegar and my nose hairs started to curl in directions I didn’t know they could. Regardless though, I was hungry so started to dig in and thought, these chips are sharp so stood under the street light and I noticed me chips resembled crisps that only a hardened ninja could eat. My fish looked curiously brown and small, I almost mistook it for another chip or a sardine at best but I ate it and realised the fish must have stayed behind because it felt like I was chewing on the corner of some MDF from the local DIY. If you don’t mind excessive wait times, poor quality food but are in the market for a fancy box then this is for you. Otherwise, go get yourself a meal deal with crisp.

First time ordering takeaway. 35 for 3 meals, upon black bean dry and sickly and the Singapore rice box came with no prawns at all. Only good thing is was hot when arrived.
Food was OK but had to wait 25 mins for some chicken nuggets then another 10 mins on top of that for salt & pepper chips coz the girl hadn't ordered them in the back with the rest of the order. Forget ringing a telephone order in, they are always engaged but the phone didn't ring once while I was in there waiting?Food: 4/5
Very disappointed.. usually out favourite fish and chips.. but not tonight. Chips were AWFUL ! They were dried up ,couldn't eat them. The fish wasnt the usual standard either and at £9 for each portion it wasnt good value. Sorry.
Twice now been given the wrong order, useless...I'll stick to Moss Delph Chippy from now on.. overpriced as well
Used to be my favourite place for chinese food but my last meal was so salty i couldnt eat it , wont be visiting here again
The previous reviews tell you everything you normally need to know. Last two Sundays though when we use them the quality has been quite poor. Soggy chips and fish without the usual crunch. So busy with deliveries that the quality is bound to suffer. Great polite and well trained staff do their very best always and so hopefully my experience has been a blip over the last couple of visits. Really hope they do because we love the place.
