I must say, The Court is one of the best pubs I've ever visited! I thoroughly enjoyed my time there and would definitely go back. The staff were absolutely fantastic, they were so friendly and welcoming, and they couldn't do enough for us. The pub itself is cozy, comfortable and inviting, with a great atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. One of the best things about The Court was the huge selection of drinks available. They had a great range of beers, wines, and spirits, as well as some fantastic cocktails. The bartenders really knew their stuff, and they were more than happy to offer advice on what to try. I also have to mention the nachos, they were absolutely delicious! The cheese was perfectly melted and the jalapenos added just the right amount of kick. I couldn't stop eating them! I would definitely recommend giving them a try if you visit. Overall, I had a fantastic time at The Court and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great pub experience. The staff, drinks and nachos were all top-notch and I can't wait to go back again!
Easily the best fish and chips I've ever had from a pub, fresh with a light crispy batter. Pubs rarely do fish and chips well but the Thatch nailed it. The girls loved their squid and goujons and my partner really enjoyed her curry. Beers were decent too, I had a lovely session cold IPA from Harbour...in fact I had two. We were last here 5yrs ago and it was great to see the pub live up to our fond memories of it.a lovely warming welcome and a brilliant way to start our Xmas holiday.
What an amazing traditional pub! What is not to love?!? The food is tasty and plentiful, the service outstanding and all reasonably priced. It’s a great place to spend a February evening after a days surfing unwinding and relaxing in an old school pub. We will be coming back!
Had a Sunday Roast lunch here today, really good quality and decent portion size with extra gravy. Went for the Banoffee Pie desert which was the size of a small detached house; my wife went for the same. She couldn’t eat all hers so I rounded the remaining 2/3 off. I feel very sorry for myself now. Currently having a sob on the sofa. It was very good, would go back.
We spent a few days in Croyde at the end of February 2023 and visited The Thatch pub twice during our stay. On both visits for evening meals, we were greeted by friendly staff and had really good service. The food was very good. The carrot hummus ! Yum...enough for 4!! The vegan lentil/cauliflower curry, absolutely gorgeous, and I'm not vegan or vegetarian!! We also visited during the late afternoon for a few drinks after a day walking...warm welcome and sat next to the fire. Much needed on a February afternoon. Highly recommend
Had a nice meal for our 25th anniversary. The portions were good and the food was tasty. The service was quick and friendly and there was a nice atmosphere. The prices are what you would expect in this location but tasty enough and filling enough to not make you feel robbed.Service: 5/5
Lovely pub, great atmosphere. Sadly let down by poor service. One person order missed, then wrong order sent, then part missing. Sea bass was expensive main but the size of a starter with no veg. Potato and watercress soup was not ! It was dark and spicy when we complained were told it was potato and watercress but they had spiced it . Left for 40 mins and had to ask for desert menu. A real shame we hoped for better.
Food was superb. The fish curry really was excellent. Very busy but they accommodated us at the last minute and service was great. I have no complaints and wish we found it earlier in our stay.
We've been coming to the thatch for 20 years and it never fails to disappoint! Food and staff are awesome love seeing the familiar staff time and time again. We stayed in a family room for this weekend - kids loved the bunk beds! Room clean and great condition, wonderful stay!
The food is really good and the staff very friendly and helpful, what we weren't happy with is paying extra for the Easter holiday's. Went in one day for drinks and food, two days later there was a increase of nearly £1 a pint and £2 on food!!!!!! Even the locals were complaining. It's a shame as it's such a nice place
