Called in for a drink Saturday did not have food but they had a good menu with a excellent specials board. Went back today for Sunday Cavery. Plenty of meat and veg was excellent. Very pleasant and helpful staff. If you're in the area it's a must. A short walk from the village. Plenty of parking, road is not closed off to the pub.
Great pub, friendly staff, a little over priced, £25 for a steak is a rip off, which is a shame because from a table of 10, three of us would have had a steak if the price was more reasonable, but none of us could justify that price! Otherwise great place for the family as it has a play area out the back for little ones.
Recent visit was a 100% better experience than last time. The staff were excellent, the food was very good and the overall feel was welcoming.
Nice pub and dog friendly. Friendly lady serving behind bar. Very tasty crab sandwich. Highly recommend.
Carvery was just left out to get cold, only had one meat on. Really disappointed with the chef, he was really rude and condescending, wouldn't recommend.
Great service, the staff were fantastic, understanding and helpful with 2 picky kids. The food was good, we all enjoyed it and was quick to arrive. The car park isn't huge but a decent size for its location.Service: 5/5
Decent restaurant, service was friendly and prompt. We had an 8:15pm booking so a couple of the specials were finished but what we had was very tasty. I had a fish platter with bread, four different types of fish and good size portions.
Large outdoor seating area, with a level right next to the kids play area which was convenient. The staff were friendly and service quick it was quiet as during term time. The cream teas were lovely - although much more cream is needed! Only enough for a thin layer on two sides of one scone. A lovely restaurant a short walk past cute cottages from the centre of the village.
I love their beer garden, a real suntrap and our go-to place after spending a few hours at the beach. The service was quick although the order quite simple, just a light bite for lunch. For those with kids, they have an adjacent play area too!Service: 5/5
Made a booking here for Sunday carvery. Excellent service and good choice of ales. 3 meats on today: turkey, beef and gammon plus nut roast. Lovely potatoes and vegetable selection. Delicious. Highly recommended.Service: 5/5
