Good size local store, car park was a bit of a faff to get around but was just about big enough. Could do a weekly shop here just about but its not a full size Tesco Extra so a bit limited in terms of product range.
I've always liked shopping in the Tesco store in Thornbury Bristol, because they always had everything I needed and more, and the layout of the store makes it easy for us to shop more quickly. And one thing I like is shopping at Christmas time, with the food and the stocking fillers plus gifts to buy.nthe staff are always friendly and helpfulnand this is why i give this store 5 Starsn
The staff is very polite and helps others. Many times when I buy something from here, it takes me a lot of time to find some things but the staff here helps me and they have been very helpful for me.Or this is good for new people because it helps them in finding their things. It was a very good experience for me. Big parking space

The recent, dramatic increase in self-service tills at Tesco Thornbury is appalling and I'm certain was done without consulting customers! I don't know anyone who enjoys this form of checkout - it's best suited to those paying cash for just a few items, not a full grocery shop. The elderly in particular loathe self service tills, and Thornbury has a large elderly population. Clearly Tesco prioritises lowering its staff numbers/costs, over providing a good service for customers! There is now a tiny number of conventional, manned checkouts, and they inevitably jam up at peak times. Christmas shopping will not be fun!nnStock is poorly managed at the Thornbury Tesco - newly launched food products don't appear on the shelves until long after they've ceased to be new, if at all. The management doesn't have their finger on the pulse of the latest products, and zero interest in ordering them/making them available to their customers in a timely fashion.nnI've had to order various new items online, because they never arrive at my local Tesco, Thornbury - eg the latest in the 'Heck' pork range including Heck sausage rashers, and the new OXO Stock Powders which come in three different flavours, none of which can be found at Tesco, Thornbury. I've mentioned such missing items to staff in the past and asked them to pass my comments to the manager, to no avail. I believe this store is in desperate need of less self service tills, and more proactive management!
