I visited the store on the 12th of August to buy a meal deal to take to hospital while visiting my husband. There was only one packet of Walkers Salt and Vinegar crisps left, so I picked this up, despite it looking old, but he had specifically requested this flavour.nWhen I got home and about to go the hospital, l looked at the crisps which stated they were best before the 10-05-2025. I returned to the shop on my way out. The lady on the Customer Service desk suggested that the crisps had expired in October, that the date was written the wrong way round but said she would look at another packet and found that they had expired as l had said 3 months previously. I told her l found this unacceptable and would like Tesco's to write to me and address the matter. She said that this was not possible as it was a store issue and I would need to speak to the manager. He arrived dressed in a polo shirt, not a suit as l had imagined he would. I asked him what he was going to do about it. He said he was happy to change the crisps for a new packet and that they regularly checked the dates on the food on the shelves. I suggested he refund me for the meal deal, a cost of £5.00, he said he couldn't do this, l was unsure why, but said that he could offer me a bunch of flowers. I declined this offer and left the store. I feel Tesco need to look at Customer satisfaction and renew their policies, a bunch of flowers is not what l needed.
Young girl on self service more interested in checking her phone than assisting customers. More red lights than Amsterdam and she’s stood there like a statue. Also, once saw a bottle of lemonade under a shelf once, well “once” is putting it lightly as it was still there after two months. Doesn’t anyone clean this store?
Awful service tonight . Thought I'd pop in and out for a few things how wrong can you be ? The till wouldn't accept my money after I'd deposited 20p well I've got 2 idiots messing about with it pressing the same buttons hoping something different is going to happen? So I've been in store for about 10 minutes now apology for keeping me waiting or not solution . Eventually I asked for the manager as I've now been in store 15 minutes plus . Another member of staff shows up and finds a blockage in the till . He tells me that's it you can take your shopping and leave. Being 100% honest I tell him I've not yet paid for my shopping and complain I've not seen the manager I asked to see or haven't received an apology from the 2 members of staff who are supposed to help customers at the till . These 2 just aren't interested in the customer me or anything else for that matter the 3rd member of staff offers an apology only because I mentioned itnI know you have to employ these people but can't you offer them any customer service training . Absolute awful experience tonight. Thanks Tesco you'll see less of my money from now on . There are other supermarkets who are cheaper than you arenAs for seeing a manager it never happened despite constant requests maybe he's not interested in customer service either . Thsnks Tesco that's 45 minutes of my life I won't get back
Staff can be challenging, why they can't be like they are at specsavers in arnold il never know. Because they are always smiling and assisting. Tesco staff are often rude, miserable and ignorant. Tho some are fine. The prices of food are shocking, iv noticed the tubs of quality street from xmas they cannot get rid of. Well they've reduced them from £7 to £6 with loyalty card. They were never £7 to start with, they was £4.50. They should reduce them to £3.50 there's nothing in them really. You tell a member of staff and they say, oh yes they have always been £7??????
Awful experience tonight. The staff looked like they didn’t want to be there at all. If people dislike their workplace that much, they should work somewhere else. Fortunately, this isn’t the Tesco I normally use, and I’ll avoid this branch in the future.
