I took my purchases to the till only to find the chocolate bunnies I intended to purchase were £5 and not the £2.75:on the ticket. I queried this to be told that it was a different item and accordingly was £5, I asked if they would honour the price I could see to be told I should read the tickets more carefully. I then asked to speak to a manager. The front of house manager a lady called Lisa came over, she reiterated tgat I should read the tickets more carefully and bring glasses with me in future. She then proceeded to lift the big ticket up to reveal the correct ticket, again apparently I should have done this,. I thing the customer service was appalling and I use Lisa name as she kept telling me note her name and use it in any complaints, guess retail isn't what it used to be, they then told me they would be moving the wrong ticket. I know its a difficult job but why alienate the customer. I only had about £40 of goods but I left it Tescos don't deserve my cash.
All good with us. Nice place, excellent food. The food and our drinks arrived fast. Nothing wrong with our experience.nWe had breakfast on a Bank holiday.nAll tables except the ones being used were clean.
When you have done your shopping, avoid going to Max's aisle, the man with the beard. Said absolutely nothing when putting shopping through. No hello or goodbye or telling me what the cost was. The most unwelcome trip to a Tesco store. He needs to go to charm school pronto.
Be aware of this nasty security guard.nnMake sure to get a receipt and put your hoodie down or else he will accuse you of stealing, harass you, smash your items and ban you.
I came to the shop with my father. Before entering Tesco, my father had purchased some items from NEXT UK. Inside Tesco, he was looking for a coat and I bought a shirt for myself. We paid in cash and were leaving the store when the security guard stopped us and demanded the receipt. At that momentnwe couldn’t find it as it had slipped inside the bag.nWhen I questioned why a receipt was required when customers are sometimes not even given one, the security staff responded in an extremely rude and hostile manner, treating us as if we were criminals who had come to steal. He then said that if there was no receipt, we must go back to the counter. We usually do not take paper receipts to avoid unnecessary paper waste.nAfter leaving, we found the receipt inside the bag and showed it to them. They simply looked at it and told us to go. I do not understand what kind of validation that was after publicly embarrassing us.nThis experience was humiliating and completely unacceptable. This was my first and absolutely last visit to Tesco. I regularly shop at Morrisons and have never experienced anything like this. Tesco should be ashamed of this behaviour and must properly train its staff to treat customers with basic respect and dignity.
