Recently refitted within the last six months. They had a problem in hot weather before when there would be a horrid smell at the back. That's gone now after they totally refitted the place. It's like any other small "express" chain store; they stock essentials but they also have a few small generic Asian and Polish sections. Despite being relatively small it's crammed with stock, there's always a really good selection. Friendly staff, self service, chilled section with sandwiches/subs, bakery section, quite a good fruit&veg section and a Costa coffee machine.

I have not been in the area long and this has become my new local shop. The shop itself is nothing special - it's cramped, dirty and smells bad. A member of management was also very rude to me. I asked a confused looking Asian worker for cranberry sauce and he pointed at jam and proceeded to say they didn't sell such a thing when I later found out they did...it would be helpful for customers and the company if his English was better and he had an idea of the products on sale! Despite this some of the other regular staff however are excellent- polite, friendly and always willing to help and are the reason I will be a regular customer for as long as I stay in the area. I was in on Monday and a very nice man called Finlay was more than willing to help me find the things I needed. Tuesday night a real friendly guy called Darren served me on the checkouts - top notch banter! Then on Thursday night I needed to swap something when I was at the checkouts and someone whose name I think was Robert offered to do it for me despite being very busy doing something else which looked pretty important. Overall great service from these guys!
