Located next to Lidl on the main road, we spotted Teatro as we drove by initially thinking it was a tea shop. We managed to find parking in a nearby residential side road but be aware there isn't any parking for the venue itself.nWhen we entered, we were met with a surprise. Not just a tea shop but a surprisingly big quirky lively bar/restaurant/coffee and tea shop rolled into one. Set out over 2 floors with an outside terrace area upstairs and lots of different seating areas. Visually, it was amazing. Arty, fun colourful. I noticed all ages. Families with children well catered for as well as older people. It's accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs on the ground floor, but a flight of stairs is needed to access the first floor. I took my 84 year old Mum who uses a walking aid, and she loved it at Teatro. It was clearly hugely popular but we managed to locate a table in the window from which we could watch all the comings and goings. There are also tables outside, although expect a view of the road and traffic noise from steady stream if cars and shoppers coming and going from Lidls next door.nStaff very friendly, but they seemed very stretched and were running around trying to see to everyone. It was a weekend, and lots of people had descended for lunch.nBeing gluten-free, i was given a specific menu, which was helpful, and overall, I found the staff attentive to any kind of allergies, if a bit anxious. I had to order at the bar rather than have my order taken at the table, which meant waiting in a queue. We waited some time for our order to arrive, but when it came, the food was good. However, my hummus order came with an enormous helping of hummus nice but very little bread to go with it.nDrinks were all good, and there's a wide range to choose from, including cocktails. I had a non alcoholic one, which was very tasty and refreshing.nThe menu is worth a visit and caters to all, including vegetarians, vegan children, and guests with allergies. There's a range of tapas and burgers, too.nIt's the kind of place that's informal but fun. You can just as easily order a cuppa and cake as you can a full meal.nPrices are good, and our lunch for 2 with drinks came in at £22.nWe would like to visit again.nThe main drawbacks are lack of parking and what seemed like a lack of sufficient staff, which led to delays. However, I would add that the staff on that day were helpful despite being rushed off their feet.nWe would visit again, though.
The warm welcome is lovely. But not always .nHappy with the drinks selection and the over juice drinks. The food is so so the best part I hear that the have an amazing chef who just love to cook and nothing else.nFood is from the heart and not from the brain nThank me later
Sat right next to Lidl in the middle of town at Clevedon, sits this little gem, Teatro lounge.nStraight away as you enter you realise this pub restaurant is a really nice place to be.nIt's welcoming entrance draws you in, and the space inside just unfolds before you as you walk in.nPlenty of room, very nicely decorated with lots to keep the eyes busy and a comfortable feel to the place that just invite you to relax.nThe bar is at the back and table service is available via table ordering. Upstairs there is more spacious seating and a veranda to sit outside on.nThe toilets are also upstairs, but there is a disable toilet downstairs that is easily accessible.nI disd notice a little bookshelf full of things to keep your kids busy, and a book swap scheme. Nice touch.nThe food was beautiful and served in minutes. The waitress that served us was very nice and did her duties well.nDefinitely somewhere I would recommend.
Our local Lounge, and an easy spot to bring the kids and grandparents. On our latest visit my fussy husband enjoyed the new Chicken Kyiv burger, my dad enjoyed his big breakfast and my daughter thinks they do the best cheesey pasta Mac and cheese.nnI didn’t get as much chilli as usual and our drinks came slightly after the food, but it was a Saturday lunch time and very busy so I wasn’t too bothered ‍ It’s in a great location, there’s a lot of space and the menu has something for everyone so I know we’ll be back very soon!
Lovely outside building and the inside is very cosy, attractive, warmly decorated and spacious with a bit of a nautical theme. The staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive and our Lounge Breakfasts were delicious even though my friend's fried egg wasn't cooked properly. The staff did take it back to do another fried egg but when it came back to our table, the rest of his breakfast was cold! Hence the reason I've given it a 3 out of 5, apologies Teatro Lounge! This is no reflection on the amazing serving staff but more on the kitchen's mishaps...!nWe'll be back to give it another go with breakfasts.
