Here at Tea and Cake we like to keep it seasonal, local and FRESH, that goes for our ideas too!
We cater for everyone here so there are Dairy free, Gluten free and Vegan options both in the menu and on the cake counter every day.
Everything is made here fresh, from scratch, using the finest Scottish ingredients every day so come along and enjoy our friendly, relaxed and alternative little Cafe, who says good food has to be boring!

I used to like this place before the new ownership takeover but now the service is very abrupt and rude. I visited once before and noted that the owner was fairly snappy at us but I was prompted today to leave a review after another negative time. My nan asked very politely and half jokingly if they did wedges or fries and was barked at by the owner "WE DON'T HAVE A FRYING LICENSE" and "anyway fries are unhealthy". A polite "no sorry we don't" would have sufficed rather than her chastisement. My nan even apologized after because she was met with such abruptness we assumed it had upset the owner.... A request for no butter on one of the rolls was also met with a raised eyebrow and foul look that suggested we had asked for an off menu item. My grandmother also asked for a "small bowl of salad" and was corrected again like a child that the term was "side salad". They are also playing a bit fast and loose with the term "loaded avocado toast" ....compared to Flame Tree the portion of avocado is tiny. The cakes and cosy feel of the place is lovely and the younger staff were so cheery and polite....perhaps the owner needs to take a leaf out of their book!

Tried this place for the first time and wow truly amazing cake. Mars Bar Brownies are highly recommended. Definitely a regular spot to visit again.

beautifull little cafe. staff so friendly. if you want a nice drink break then this cafe has a lovely atmosphere.
