The only place in London where you can get real fresh truffles. All the products they sell are top quality and the terrines are hand made by the owners with top quality ingredients. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!
If you're looking to buy fresh, authentic, top quality, flavoursome truffle products, look no further! These guys are obsessed with excellence in what they sell and passionate about great food and cooking. The products are locally prepared by the owner a chef, or purchased from trusted and certified small businesses. I personally love the cheese, the pate, the mushrooms, the honey, and of course the fresh truffles. Must ask for recipes and cooking suggestions though, do not just buy and experiment on your own as it might lead to letdown. A Borough Market jem
One of my favourite stalls at Borough! The staff are super helpful and the products are so fresh and so tasty. It's great for getting presents for people and I've tried loads of the products over the years from the patés to the truffle oils! Defo the best place in London for truffles!
Awful , unfriendly staff , always on the phone can’t even bother to sell or explain the products , i purchased some truffles honey n some oil , very Regret i went there . Just never again .
I always stop by here when I'm at Borough Market as their products are the absolute best! The people working at Tartufaia are always happy to recommend things and I always make sure to bring my friends when they are in town as it's unique at the market! Such yummy products, especially the oils!
Best shop in Borough Market! Wide selection of truffle-based deliciousness. Most of the products are difficult to find even in Italy. My favourite stall!
I bought truffle butter for 21 GBP and opened the jar the same day. Unfortunately, it lacks the taste or smell of truffle. My wife and I were very disappointed, and are not sure if the product truly contains any truffle.
I visited Tartufaia a couple of weeks ago now and was very impressed, the staff were extremely friendly and very knowledgeable on the products they sold. I sampled the honey and it was delicious I purchased a jar immediately and it was just as nice will definitely being going back and i highly recommend you visit this stall next time your in borough market.
UPDATED REVIEW: I am suspicious this is a counterfeit truffle store. The free sample tasters are delicious - yet the paid products taste absolutely nothing like the samples. Now I know it's possible I got a bad sample but it's an odd coincidence that every single item I got tastes off, and from the other reviews I can see I am not the only person who has had this experience. Despite emailing customer services several times I never got a response. I would have ideally liked to visit the market stall in person as a last resort but for those who live outside of London and are travellers, this is not an option. London is full of tourist traps and this place has unfortunately not given any reason to disprove this, so I leave this review to urge people avoid the place and look elsewhere for their truffle goodness. I know this is a small business etc. compared to other places that sell truffles, but it's still not an excuse to operate a luxury product business in this way. I initially had a more neutral review since I wanted to give them a chance to respond to my query, but after radio silence and seeing more reviews complaining of the same experience since I last visited, I had to update it with a lower rating in hopes for future customers to exercise more caution.
Really friendly staff! Love eating truffle but didn’t have much knowledge, however the staff was so understanding and ever so helpful in getting the right products. Definitely worth going to see all the different products and learning more about truffles!
