I'm not even sure where to start with Tara&Co - they're possibly the worst company I've ever dealt with. I suggest both tenants and landlords avoid them, and I personally will never rent or buy a property that they have had any involvement with. I rented a managed property in Leamington Spa for 11 months. Rent was paid in full and always on time and the property was left in a better condition than when I moved in at the end of the tenancy. Even before I moved in, they gave my details to Glide (an energy company) who then proceeded to harass me via SMS and Email against my wishes until I reported them to the Information Commissioner's Office. Things went downhill from this point. The property was poorly managed - insufficient waste and recycling facilities were provided for the 12+ tenants who lived at the address. The intercom system remained broken for much of the year. On one occasion a contractor was given access to my flat without any notice whatsoever for a non-emergency issue - David French readily admits this happened in an email. On another occasion they rang me and tried to convince me to give them flat access with a few hours notice - but soon backed down when I pointed out they had to legally give proper notice of at least 24 hours. When I moved out, I gave it a few weeks before I requested the deposit back in writing. I received no response within the 10 day period I was required to allow and was therefore £650 out of pocket. No reasoning was given for the failure to return the money - in fact they hadn't communicated at all since I moved out. I was forced to begin a dispute with my|deposits and provide evidence for a case. As soon as the deposit protection company got in touch with Tara&Co they backed down and paid me the amount in full. Tenants: they will try and take advantage of you. Insist on 24 hours notice for all property access. If they fail to return your deposit, don't put up with it. Don't waste time dealing with them directly beyond the initial request. Just dispute the failure through the protection company or take them to the small claims court. Landlords: they don't have a good reputation and you'll likely lose business from tenants who know to avoid them and look elsewhere. I've heard from colleagues who've had bad experiences renting out their properties with Tara&Co as landlords, too. There are plenty of other, reputable estate agents to consider in Leamington and Coventry.

Tara and co have been pretty good for our student house until now, but it has been snowing for the last 4 or 5 days and we have had no heating or hot water. Tara and co sent out someone to sort it when we first submitted a fault report who said hed fixed it but it broke again 20 mins after he left. We have submitted another fault report, emailed and called since but no one has been out and we havent even had a response. I would have thought that they would prioritise fixing heating in this weather, as the house is virtually uninhabitable and my other 3 housemates have just gone home.

I found all the people working at Tara & Co very helpful and professional. Everyone has gone out of their way to help when ever I have contacted them. I have never had a problem letting my house through Tara &Co. , rent payment always on time

Absolutely awful service!! Would not recommend paying more for the assistance of Tara and Co as the response time to any enquiries is slow, not sure if they actually communicate with the landlords at all, seems to be done on their time frame and have little to no regard for the well-being of the tenants other than ensuring that the house is liveable enough to ensure no legal action!! Would definitely not use their service again and would strongly advise others not to either.

Absolutely terrible experience with Tara and Co. They are still ignoring our emails now, and we have been chasing them for over a month for help with a dispute. Have been accused of lying via email, and have requested callbacks from management that have been ignored. Students- stay away! They are taking students for a ride and are completely unhelpful. I seriously wonder what the admin charge was for at the beginning of the year, as they have been completely unhelpful all year. I have received harassing phone calls repeatedly for rental payments, which had already been paid! And once they finally realised this the first time, I had the same issue the next instalment! 5 weeks after we moved out, and we are still waiting for our deposits back- despite the fact that the landlord has found no damage! Awful company, rent with anyone but! I would like someone to contact me from Tara and Co and I will be happy to discuss the issue further... if you can bother to pick up the phone.
