Story

The Taj Tandoori is Scotland's Premier Indian Restaurant and has just been voted Best Curry House in Scotland by the British Curry Awards.

The Taj Indian Restaurant welcomes the opportunity of catering for all occasions, including parties and weddings.

Within the restaurant we can cater for small or large parties. A recent addition is the Taj Executive Room which can be hired separately and can cater for up to 26 people in a private, sumptuous, relaxed atmosphere.

To make your night very special you can either choose from the main menu or discuss with the Chef an exciting authentic Indian dish.

Fist class food.and great service. This was the first time I had sat in for a meal in some time and the food was up to the usual high standards. The service is always friendly and engaging, a real family run establishment. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are generous. Highly recommended.

The Taj on Prestwick main street has been on the go now for over 35 years and in the 25 years I've been going there I have yet to have a bad meal. The food has always been excellent, the staff always welcoming and the service efficient. The only reason not to get a 5 is that the decor was looking a bit tired last night and the lighting was too bright and made this standout. Also the section normally used for the buffet nights was being used as a prep area and staff room. But the reason for going is the food and it remains the star attraction. Defo the best take out in the area.

Visited last night with a work night out and it was very good. The restaurant had many options suitable for vegans and even went out of their way to make me a special peshwari chapati.
