It was my first time going here to have my predator gaming laptop fixed. I was told that the fans and the dirt inside were causing the annoying sound and was prone to overheating. They replaced the fans and cleaned my laptop. The quality of service was superb! Al was very helpful, cheerful, and knowledgeable. The price is worth it. Would recommend this shop! Keep it up!
Recently connected with Al at Forest City Computers and had a wonderful experience. Al was able to get me in to repair my MacBook Air in a timely manner. From the first phone call to leaving his business with my repaired MacBook, it was a reassuring and comfortable experience. Al provided me with insight, feedback and direction on my issue. He was able to repair my MacBook screen in a matter of 15 minutes whilst juggling a great conversation. Absolutely exceptional service by Ali at Forest City Computers! They recently set up our computer system at OK Tire and we couldn't be happier. Their expertise and attention to detail are top-notch. Do NOT use this place for high-end product repairs. Called to ask if these guys fix Microsoft Surface products because the battery on my laptop stopped charging and the computer died. They told me I could bring it in and they would "take a look at it". I brought it in and the guy asked me to leave it overnight, OK no problem. Next day I'm told ya the battery won't charge and they could try ordering a part but no guarantee they could fix it, so I picked it back up. The only problem is they TORE MY LAPTOP APART. Literally they tore the rubber pads off the bottom to get at the screws, didn't bother to put them back on and I didn't even get them back. Then part of the metallic cover on the bottom was also peeled off and not replaced. When I sent the laptop in to Microsoft's repair depot, I got a message back saying that there is now excess physical damage and a seal was broken so they won't fix it - even out of warranty. My case is now being escalated and I'm literally begging Microsoft to fix my $3,600 laptop and it would never have been a problem if these guys had just told me that they don't know how to fix Surface products in the first place. If you have anything other than an old, basic/cheap computer, I don't recommend this place at all - seems they can't help and will wreck your device instead of just being up front in the first place. Edit: On top of it all these guys tell outright lies. The rubber feet were absolutely not returned. I know because I specifically went back in to complain and the old guy at the front desk completely ignored me so I just left again. I noticed that immediately. Also a lie that I ever told you I "wanted a new laptop anyway". I specifically came in to repair so that I would NOT have to buy a new unit. Unbelievable. This has nothing to do with Microsoft "buying back" a laptop, this has to do with this place voiding the warranty by ripping apart a piece of equipment they weren't familiar with and instead of just apologizing making up a bunch of ridiculous excuses. Absolutely do not recommend this place.
Gotta love a family business. They always tell you up front what needs to be done. Costs are always up-front. Honesty, communication, decency and good work has always been my experience with them. As a 30 year IT trainer and software guy; and having had computers repaired elsewhere. I suggest you try these guys first.
Great work by Al. Impressed by prompt work and solution given. Heads up to this guy. I was scared as I was unable to get my laptop started. But they solved it within 2 hours.
I was visiting London, Ontario. Laptop hard drive was not being detected in Boot Manager. There's a reason why Forest City Computer Repairs is one of the most appreciated tech repair services in London that I came across during my searching for a reliable shop. I can only echo what the others have stated: great, friendly and quick quick as in within hours or a day service.
The experience was good and the staff was supportive and they fixed my laptop instantly and all parts are genuine and I have a great experience with forest city computer repairs.
My MacBook just quit on me one day and wouldn’t turn back on, they had it fixed and back to normal within a week! The gentleman I met here are provide excellent service, and are very friendly! I’ll definitely be coming here from now on :
Had what I call a catastrophic event on my LG laptop. It usually let me start it up with a fingerprint. The biometrics had been set up and working for months. For some reason, this day it wasn't working. To make a long story even longer, somehow, the keyboard was turned off, not letting me enter the password. I took it to Forest City, and with a couple of trips back and forth, they had fixed the problem within hours of the first trip. Excellent, done, solved. Great experience
