Well priced fish amd chips cooked fresh to order. Portion sizes are spot on. Visited while visiting the area. If i was a local i would definitely go back.

Was recommended this chippy from Bowes Hill Glamping and Camping. Lovely food and polite service. If it wasn't for the recommfrom the site owners, we wouldn't have visited. Lovely gem
We were staying on a local holiday site and the chip shop on site was closed, so we searched the internet for a local chip shop and came across Sylvia's. We got there and ordered our 3 lots of fish and chips. They were cooked fresh while we waited. The lady behind the counter spoke to each one of us about our requirements salt and vinegar, curry under or over the fish etc and impressively even spoke to my son in the same way. Sometimes people speak to the parents but no...she made him feel welcome too. The price was very reasonable and no different than at home. The food..... I thought the portion looked quite small however quickly realised that the tray it was in was huge so it looked a small portion. The chips were fresh and golden and the fish was super. No soggy batter! I only just managed to finish the portion and I was starving. It was really tasty overall so if you're visiting the area, I'd definitely recommend giving it a try.
Fish n chips have always been good from here.
Fabulous local chippy. Food always fresh and piping hot. Great portions and never a bad meal. Staff polite and friendly. If you're in the area and fancy a chippy tea, Sylvia's Chippy is most definitely the place for you!!
The fish is alright and so is the jumbo sausage. The chips are very lack luster and I have had oil on the outside of the bags multiple times which has damaged the seats in my car.
The chips are always full of black bits because they have not been taken out when the potatoes are peeled, & there are just loads of little hard bits.Fish are not to bad.
