Lovely atmosphere, lovely food, steak and burgers cooked to perfection, desserts were beautifully presented and just as tasty as the food, large portions, friendly and helpful staff, would definitely come back! Only criticism, the heating needs turning up a tad!

Never again, what a rip off. Party of 8, one starter was late and came when everyone was nearly finished. New York chicken was dry and the cheese rubbery, left half of it. A rare steak and a medium one was ordered but were mixed up resulting in the diners not getting what they requested. We were sitting in an alcove with 4 sitting on a bench seat which was against the wall. Not much space behind the other chairs resulting in the plates being passed down the table like a works canteen. Very disappointing and pricey for what we received.

No atmosphere. Beer was warm and was sent back. On testing it was found to be 19°C. Food was average and the kebabs were dry. Although the waitress was pleasant it wasn't very attentive considering we were the ONLY people in there. Would not return. Not a patch on The Ship at Elswick, which was the only reason we tried it. Disappointed.

Had scallops and black pudding and a steak. Absolutely fantastic. Wife had chicken skewers which were well presented and cooked just right.
