Great find for a ‘dog friendly’ venue for breakfast … had a full cooked b’fast, fab value for money, tasty, everyone was very welcoming and friendly!
A lovely friendly local, and really clean! The whole pub is immaculate and I applaud them for this. We had some nice drinks and it was new years eve and they put in free food and it was a very nice offering and needed after a few ales. We where made to very welcome so thank you, we will be back soon
It has been completely transformed from what it was as the Swiss Cottage. It has been refurbished internally and externally. The old building has been extended. There are clean toilets, a beer garden covered by canopies and an overflow room at the bottom of the garden. Good hot food and a fair choice of ales, lagers and other drinks. A small but friendly team of people run it. It's also the new home of PISA 2000 The Posh Independent Supporters Association following the closure of Ebeneezer's. It is members only on match days. Only £5 for a year's membership. Very friendly indeed. It has no sports TV. Closed on Sundays until further notice.
Morecambe and wise, cheese and onion, fish and chips, and especially beer and football. Some things just belong with each other.....and when the beer is Oakham and the football is Posh, Charlies is pub nirvana. Everything is well priced and the staff are super friendly. Brilliant place.......unless you're from Cambridge or Northampton.
Lovely relaxed local off the beaten track. Great Landlady and Landlord who seem to be quietly, slowly, building a clientele that"s female and couple friendly. Well kept cask ales, I suspect the others are also but I happen not to drink them. Will be going more often.
Come here for breakfast at the weekends and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. Have the large breakfast which is top notch.
