Shop is near to parking. Can get very busy inside. Small seating area with plastic chairs. I had the samosas that were nice in taste. They serve a menu consisting of Indian sweets and snacks. Got some kaju katli from here and it tasted awful. Was hard and smelt like it had gone off. It was a strange greyish colour rather than the creamy white I’m used too. Son spat put his bite and I binned the rest of it sadly. May have been a bad batch.
We called at 11am to place an order for their samosas, as they're really amazing, and mother said we'll be there around 3pm to pick up. We were disappointed that we had to wait half an hour as they were still frying it. This made us run late to the event we were attending. They need to stick their timing and promise as we're regular customers.
Sweet are not fresh. very smelly and old. Before expiry date it tasted so worst. Very bed
Sunday morning as the shop opened I got some jalebi, ganthia and dhokri. The dhokri was cold from fridge and very dry, not fresh soft n spongy and actually unedible. I called next day to inform them and staff confirmed the dhokri is kept and served as needed from fridge and I should have microwaved when I got home. This is totally unacceptable!!! One comes early morning to buy freshly prepared food/ snacks and not dhokri that had been in the fridge overnight. This shop is not selling fresh food . It's totally disappointing and unacceptable. I have bought dhokri from other similar shops in the area, and All sell fresh, soft spongy dhokri. I will not be returning back to this shop ever, as its unacceptable.
A well established Indian shop selling traditional snacks eg Bhel Puri, Dawada and great Indian sweets.
Been going there for a long time. Really gone down hill. Very miserable and unhelpful staff. Not welcoming and prices have increased and quality has gone down. Got Gattia long ones, all closed. No use for the chutney. Stopped giving small chutneys so can charge for medium ones. Also unhelpful when asking for help with sizes. Trying to sell you more. Think time to go over to Gayatri on the high street. At least more welcoming and decent prices.
The frozen food is quality, a bit pricey but quality. Though as the sweets are appealing it is too sweet for my liking.
Good selection of Indian sweets and savouries. Presentation is not their priorities. But most items bought had good taste and flavour . Some goods need tobe prepacked to retain the crispiness.
Simply the BEST samosas, whether with or without onion.
Staff pleasantly chatting to customer. Lots of items on display, lots of pictures and information.
