Owners friendly and helpful but the site is a lot smaller than other CS sites I have visited and I think best described as compact. Basically it is a section of the owners garden.  On the day we arrived it had been raining hard and the site was full of water and a couple of pitches very muddy.  The pitch we were to use was occupied and we had to pitch on grass. The next day the owner gave me a pitch with some gravel but getting off the grass was a problem as one front wheel had sunk.  I  think drainage is a problem as there was a lot of standing water.  Could be a nice site but it needs some work doing upgrading the pitches and the shower which looked very tired.  Getting in is tight and if the site is full, quite tight for any manoeuvring. Caravan owners take note.

Access to Newton Stewart is good and would make a good base for the local area.

Shops and local facilities a short walk.

Wooded area close by for dog walks and site is quiet.

Great little quite spot 
We used it for a base on a mountain bike trip very clean 
Newton Stuart has all the utility's you need
