Gerard McGonigle.nMy wife and I stayed in this hotel in September this year 2024 and were delighted with the place. We could not understand how it ever received bad reviews. The staff were always pleasant and included in the very affordable price was a full Scottish breakfast.I’d have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. Sincerely, Mr.&Mrs.McGonigle.
Absolute shocker, old, broken, unmaintained hotel. Falsely advertises restaurant and beer garden, neither exist. Me and some friends stayed in a caravan the night before and wish we stayed there longer. This hotel is disgusting, broken beds, holes in walls, couldn't find staff when needed, shower took over 10 minutes to start warming up. Damp coming through walls I will never stay here again
Super friendly staff! We were lucky to arrive on the day where they organised a pub quiz that evening and were invited to join. So much fun! When I asked for an old newspaper to dry my wet shoes, the manager gave me a rol of paper towels from the kitchen. So helpful!
Friendly staff. At reception they were expecting us with bikes and had storage space all ready. Comfortable bed. Great breakfast.
Awful...avoid. You can tell the owner has lost interest. Carpets coming away on stairs, fraid carpets in bedroom, hole in bedroom wall, tiny tv, bedding dirty, everything dated and feels dirty. Only decent thing was breakfast...do not book unless desperate.
