Such a wonderful quaint place to have tea and lunch. Staff were welcoming and the view upstairs looking over the marina was also lovely.
Admittedly it was our third choice....the other two tea houses were closed.....but....it was good! Home made scones, plain, fruit, cheese or cranberry and apple! Not just boring strawberry jam either. Raspberry and Blackcurrant available. I feel sorry for them because of all the works going on for Mayflower 2020 which has the tea house half blocked by council enclaves....so people can't see the Strand. Still, 3 other groups came in after us so that's good. Shame on the Council. Good luck Strand.....go and support them!
Excellent cream tea in a nice cosy place. Still you g wrt a good view to the bay
We had great coffee, tea, and scones here. We really liked the atmosphere and would definitely come back.
Lovely tea room. Great choices on the menu. The homemade soups were delicious. Great value for money. Amazing cakes. Friendly staff. Would highly recommend visiting this tea room if you are on the Barbican and want something different. You will not be disappointed.
Delicious treats and impeccable service! We shared an afternoon tea for two, and were absolutely charmed by the quirky decor, the scrumptious treats the cheese scones were divine!, and the warm and friendly welcome of the staff. Tina is a true tea lover and connoisseur - take her recommendations on board, and you won't be disappointed!
Lovely cosy environment loving the 're vamp still keeping the beautiful original features I had an afternoon tea for two for my sister's birthday well filled delicious sandwiches, warm, light and melt in the mouth scones with a hearty portion of jam and cream, with a mixture of miniature tasty treats on the top layer and the tea selection is to die for. The service was warm and friendly nothing was to much trouble and it was amazing value for money !! Highly recommended but don't just take my word for it go try it yourself !
Visited: 7/5/2017 Lovely small tea rooms cafe slightly set back facing the sea in the Barbican area. It has two seating areas; the second one up a step in the rear half of the building. No 'national chain look' here. Very individualised decor with pictures covering the walls. Clean. Very friendly staff. Good choice of dishes at reasonable prices, from which we chose crab sandwiches, which were delicious.
Nice little cafe at Plymouth quay. Food was good quality and my sandwich with salad was excellent value. It is a small space and cosy. Wouldn't get a wheelchair in and probably not good for pushchairs either.
Delicious home made food, quirky cafe, bone china cups and friendly staff. We loved our lunch thankyou. Recommend a visit here, support local businesses people! Use them, or lose them!
