We had a fabulous dinner at Strand Tandoori. The service was welcoming and Mr. Mia was a great host giving us really good recommendations and very large glasses of water with ice, which is a treat in London. The food was amazing, authentic Indian that came fresh and hot. We couldn’t stop eating and enjoyed the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
We stumbled upon this place and it is fantastic. Mr Mia looked after us and everything we ordered was excellent. If you enjoy Indian food, don't pass it up. The Prawn Korma is particularly good.Food: 5/5
Been to the Strand Tandoori a handful of times now. Always good to grab a mid-week curry after work. Genuine, no-nonsense, authentic and absolutely delicious food in the center of London. Don't expect 5* decor, but that's not necessary anyway, there is nice music playing. The service is just right - not overbearing and not dismissive. Very reasonably priced for central London. Genuinely no complaints, superb food. Well done Mr Mia and team.
We had a very good experience here. We were looking at the menu outside, and were about to move on because there was nothing for kids, when the friendly Mr Mia came out and enticed us in with the promise of specially making some chips not on the menu for the kids. Chips were duly cooked up for the hungry kids in record time and we then enjoyed some very delicious curry. Overall a very good experience.
Really bad service didn’t feel quite good about their response. ordered a takeaway but didn’t feel good abt the attitude of the old guyhe might be the owner of the restaurant probably who keeps on joking abt the customers with the other guy in bengali languageI know bit of bangla…..not here to decide what is right or wrong its their personal choice to have civilised interaction with customers if you keep on cracking jokes on how they look and what they order it’s ridiculous, I didn’t like it. I felt bit of arrogance of the old man n it is not at all good and felt bad about it. sometimes behaviour speaks louder… may be his day is bad or he might be exhausted lets hope he didn’t behave purposefully…
Mr. Mia and staff are attentive and professional. If you love the heat, the phall with lamb, chicken and even prawn, is the best I’ve had in London. Everything is fresh and flavorful. You will enjoy the atmosphere and demeanor of the staff. Thank you, will be back soon.Food: 5/5
We really enjoyed this restaurant, the food was delicious, Mr Mangar was amazing, taking orders from 2 or 3 tables at a time, answering the phone and communicating with the kitchen, this is a lovely small restaurant and very reasonably priced given the location. If you like Indian food then you can’t go wrong here. Well worth a visit, just sit back, relax and enjoy the experience.
Found the place by accident whilst walking to the Theatre and what a find!!! Mr M who I think is the owner was very pleasant to deal with and the service was fast and efficient. More importantly the food was tasty and not not oily, I had Chicken Kahari and my wife Chicken Sashlick which again was very tasty and not too overly spiced. Certainly try this place if you are passing as you will not be disappointed!!!!
Great atmosphere and really good tasting Indian cuisine. In such a good location, and open later in the night for dinner which was nice. Mr. Mia was our server and came to our table and greeted us so promptly. He was awesome Really enjoyed the experience, would definitely recommend.Atmosphere: 5/5
We had a wonderful experience last night at Strand Tandoori! We brought a large group in for dinner last night. This is the second year in a row that we've brought a large group in, and they've been wonderful to us each time! Delicious food and friendly, attentive service! Mr. Manager helped us order something for everyone, especially all the newbies.
