Came in to have 2 trousers shortened and one basic top sleeve shortened . It cost £62?? Last time I came in for one trousers it cost me £14? They charge different prices when they no you need them quickly but on the window it says within an hour at no extra cost? Asked for a coat alteration and their quoted me £138??? Absolutely ridiculous prices will not be going again. Also the staff because they maybe are foreign? they are blunt and come across as rude. Honestly avoid here you will be ripped off
The third place I went to get my dress altered. Great service by Gabriela!! I still wasn't 100% about my dress, Gabriela bought the tailor in person to me. Didn't let me leave until I was happy with the alterations. Definitely will come here again!
I brought an outfit from a chinese company i wanted to try out called, Pesonsoul, and the company have a no returns also no exchanges notice. I didn't read too much into them, because if their vibrant style and awareness on social media. I ended up buying a size that was too big on my medium size body, It was a large oversized top and a large cargo bottoms, eventually I ended up searching how to change the fitting of the outfit. I stumbled on Timpsons in fiveways who do garments, and I went there, but they advised me that I should go to Stitches. I found the company not too far from the Apple building just accross the road from the tram line, and when I go there the people were friendly and comfortable to be around. I was guided by a woman that I didn't get her name at the time, but she followed me through the process and got me to try on the clothes in their changing booth, after that I showed her what I wanted done, so she eventually pinned in the parts I wanted doing up. The lady explained what the tailor can do and once I agreed to what the tailor thinks is best, afterwards they took it and I ended up coming back the monday just gone. They asked if I wanted to try it on in-store but I was in a rush so I went home and to my shock it fits amazingly. Again thank you again guys for the quick process.
Still the best. Saw Andrea again today. My white Moncler needs a new zip the inside one. She's already sorted the main zip and tailored my suit jacket to perfection. OMG !! See ya soon honey .. xx

I’ve used this place for more than 20 years. The quality of work has been decent and acceptable most of the time. Occasionally trouser seems would come undone after alterations. Recently… I think they’ve started to con people. Past few times they’ve tried to charge £50 just to shorten the sleeves. However after saying no… they say there’s another option! Of course a cheaper option. I think from now I will avoid these people.

AVOID… went here to get two trousers length change and tightened. Why did I pay £82.50? They don’t have no prices on show in store and use a calculator and do it from the top of their head. I dropped my item 1.30pm told it would be done by 4.. went back and it was like they total ignored what I said. The trousers looked the same. They said they’ll fix them and said can’t be done until tomorrow however when people was dropping items in they was telling them to come back in 1 HOUR? Should you honour the customers item that you failed on first ? Anyways, went back for 11am and they still wasn’t right I legit told them to take everything away and they never. They said if you come back in two hours they’ll be ready I was frustrated at this point. Anyways went back and did r even try them on jus took them off them. A man paid £35 to get his sleeves shorter on a thin running top and he was even shocked at the price. A man paid £57 to get his jeans shortened. I asked another tailor their prices and they said I was basically scammed and I’m ngl I think it was cus I was black . The girl in there who’s got blond hair is so rude when I told her I wasn’t happy coming back she shouted and said ‘ there’s nothing I can do it’s not my fault what you want me to do?’ There is better tailors with reasonable prices this is extortion honestly. Even another tailor was shocked with prices. There’s great ones in kingsheath high st if you can make it there and I promise you won’t be disappointed. I hope this helps
Stitches offer a professional tailoring service with a quick turnaround time. I have used them multiple times and have not been disappointed. They are not the cheapest but they always accommodate.
AVOID AVOID AVOID. Paid £50 to get my trousers tailored and they got it all wrong. When I picked the trousers up they were about to close so they told me to come back the next day so they can rectify the issue. When I went back they said I had to pay again as it was a new alteration. They didn’t rectify the issue. Avoid this horrendous business at all costs..many other good priced tailors in Birmingham who are much better than these amateurs.
