Back in May, I had a serious complication from a recent procedure. Called NHS 24 who got me slotted in very late at night. The nurse saw me, and we had to work together to decipher the medication needed, and make a few calls out of hours to my consultants. Everyone here was attentive and kind to me. In fact, they closed before we were finished and as I left another member of staff stopped to make sure I had a way home it was after midnight. Am grateful for health care at these hours.
Have read bad reviews, but.am surprised I attended minor injury unit without out appointment, I arrived 11.00am with a foot injured by a plate glass panel falling on it. I was seen by a very pleasant nurse, then after examination was sent for X-ray. Following that I was advised of what I should do for injury. I was out the door at 12.20. This in my opinion was excellent treatment.People should realise that staff are doing their best and to me moaned at about how long they have to wait does not help. Many thanks to staff at minor injury dept, keep up the good work Colin RRussell
I liked the experience here. In the beginning, I was a bit confused to receive an appointment with dermatologist that I never booked. But it turns out GP booked it for me a long time ago. I came and in around 15 minutes, considering my case, I was advised on trying free samples for body wash due to my problem with dry skin and got a prescription for relevant antibiotics. I also want to point out that I was instructed by volunteer to reach t he dermatology department as I didn’t know where it is located. With the help of the NHS staff, found it quite fast. Not sure why earlier feedbacks are low, but my experience definitely deserves 5 stars.
Todays minor injuries triage nurse was very rude and on a power trip. Sent my brother home with unexplained facial swelling/pain and told him since he’s already waited two days he can wait another and call his GP tomorrow. The poor guy is in agony. Seemed like she couldn’t be bothered to even pretend to care.
Flawless - Went in on a Saturday evening for a suspected fractured ankle with no appointment. I was booked in, seen, x-rayed, debriefed, fitted for a boot and discharged in around an hour and a half. Everyone who dealt with me, from receptionist, consultant, radiologist and orderly were absolutely brand new and perfectly efficient. Great service all round. Up The NHS!!
Attended following a collision on the motorway. Unable to get appointment with gp. Went to minor injuries unit and was seen by nurse. Uninterested, incompetent and lazy. Scribbled notes on back of a ticket. Later found out that 90% of the concerns I had talked about to this lazy individual was not even reported on the medical records. Record everything and every dealing you have with these dishonest people. Should be sacked but will no doubt get a promotion.
One of the worst healthcare service in the whole world. Ive seen hospitals in third world countries operate and treat customers way better than here with the services of the NHS. You cant say its a good healthcare service just by having a clean and goodlooking hospital. Without proper working staff, doctors, and treatment of patients, there is no use of having this medical centre.More than that the people treating are not even proper doctors. Dont get me wrong guys, NHS has done amazing job over the years and especially during covid their efforts have been unlike any other and I have a lot of respect for that. However, i wouldn't recommend anyone to chose to go here for any medical treatment. Go somewhere else, saves time and you get better treatment. Not at all satisfied by the way i got treated here. Although some volunteer staffs were sympathising, its still not gonna make up for a patient waiting in pain for over 6 hours. The scottish government should not be this careless about the residents of the country. I hope I never have to come back here again. The 1 star is for keeping the medical centre clean and hygienic. The outer surroundings of the medical centre is peaceful and lovely to stay but thats all that is good about the place.
The minor injuries department here is awful! Expect a long wait even with young kids 2 hours in our case and certain staff who are uncaring, unsympathetic and ignorant. You might even get some free parenting advice on how to handle your toddlers behaviour better.
Awful service waiting 45 minutes on nhs24 to ‘make an appointment’ as advised, for my daughter only to be cut off and so went into MIA Stirling and receptionist said we had to have an appointment the waiting room was empty!!! Took her to Larbert a&e waiting time was 4-5 hours but the staff were excellent there, and very professional makes you wonder how messed up the system actually is, shocking.
Long wait over 90 mins and counting doesn't seem to be more than one nurse , so only 3 people seen in 90mins which is ridiculous
