We have to say what a wonderful inn. From first arrival yesterday 19/11. A very warm welcome from the staff and have to say excellent drink and chill after our journey over Dartmoor. We where shown to our room room3 which was excellent and a absolutely fabulous on suite. We had a lovely meal. The bed was so comfortable and this was enhanced by lovely bedding. Breakfast was to die for and we thoroughly enjoyed and set us up nicely for our walk around Dartmoor. We would like to thank everyone at the steam packet for a wonderful stay and we will truly be back. Thank you
Popped in for a late lunch. The steak burger was incredible. Absolutely huge! Could only eat half of it, but well worth the money. The staff were friendly and informative and I will return again.Service: 5/5
Great location. Unfortunately really mediocre food. Over cooked fish, batter that could ceak the plate and biggest sin of all frozen chips. No excuse for serving this. They have a beautiful setting but could make it exceptional if the food was up to par. However they accept dogs and that's always a good thing.
A really lovely cosy and friendly pub which serves great food. The manager is absolutely amazing at her job. She cannot do enough for you. Really friendly and helpful.
Definitely the best hotel I've stayed in for a quite a while. The rooms are amazingly clean , modern and very spacious. Even has a smart TV. And the bed is definitely top quality. I will definitely be coming back here again. Highly recommended ****Rooms: 5/5
The staff were lovely but did get our names wrong after booking a table but im afraid the food was not good. £15 each for 3 small portions of Gammon, gluton chips that were burnt, 2 fried eggs and a tomatoe which was supposed to be roasted and just looked and tasted like it wasnt is not worth £15. Sorry but you need to change your chef.
Great food and location. Very busy which meant we had a leisurely meal.
Friendly service, very tasty nachos, decent portions and selection. The fish was not quite as good as everything else we had.
What an amazing stay. The Manager was so friendly and helpful. The room was gorgeous and the breakfast was tasty. Highly recommend
I wouldn't normally post a review, but I have to say, the monk fish thai green curry was amazing!...Hats off to the chef! The view from the terrace was lovely and very relaxing too. Definitely worth a visit! :-
