Lovely local pub that serves food. Great selection of beers and staff and locals are all very friendly and welcoming. Nice spacious beer terrace that is secluded.
Stoke Gabriel is a fantastic place to spend some quality time. And to top off a great afternoon, a cold one in the beer garden of the castle inn. It's a real sun trap, not the biggest of gardens, intimate I guess, but a very pleasant place to while away an hour while enjoying a good beer.
Guy took ages to get up from Reading his book. Then when asked about food told fully booked. The place was empty so unsure where all these people were. Won't be going back. Very poor
I ordered 2 pizzas for take away and received what seems to be pizza bought in supermarket with some rocket and piece of tomato on the top. I am a Chef and work in the industry feeding people on a daily basis and this is outrageous on my holiday!

The best Sunday roast beef dinner I have ever had, and the Jail beer is alright too.

Great beers, friendly staff and good food.
Nice beer garden lovely pub atmosphere although person serving didn't want to bring drinks outside to us in beer garden there was 9 of us. so only had 1 beer and left.
Had a really nice Sunday lunch here Bank Holiday weekend. Under difficult circumstances the service was excellent. Thank you to all the staff concerned.
