Under new management. Find the guy running it arrogant and rude. It's not clean and unkept, toilets discusting, no hand wash. Feels like a youth hostel. The youths/young adults buy one drink between them and take over the pool table/area for hours. Gone completely down hill. Food is awful. Hope it goes into other management soon
Not a great beer selection, rather run of the mill choices and not one true 'Premium' beer/lager available, unless you count Amstel or Guinness Staff are pleasant but not over friendly, NO disabled toilets...not that I could see. Very nice decor and a genuine old pub feel. Free WiFi, no car park. Presumably they show live sports? Worth a visit.
Good value good drinks good music
Visited this place as it used to be really good, went to the toilet and they stank of stale urine, really bad when i came back from the toilet my wife said she could smell the stale urine smell on me!! i am shocked this place serves food. I mentioned it to the chap behind the bar and he said if you don't like it don't come back. Charming.
Went for and xmas work meal and it's was horrible the meat was cold and took 5 mins to cut into a roast potato would not recommend a roast there and the service was horrible 1 chef 1 waitress and 1 bartender on a Saturday night and everyone wasn't friendly or fully focused on there work will never go there again. Wouldn't even save some leftovers for my dog absolutely horrible.
Really nice big pub, felt very comfortable there. The menu looked great, must give the food a try.
Recently reopened. Nice traditional pub. Sky TV. Pool table. Dog friendly. Kitchen opening soon!
THE best fish finger sandwich in the universe I swear love this pub. Come here all the time! Highly recommended
Went in here twice, on both occasions it was a good experience. The first time was to have a drink and try and find some directions to where myself and the kids had booked to stay. The man was most helpful and the local people drinking in there were friendly and helpful The second occasion we went for pie night , there were 6 of us in total this night and the food was delicious, 100 percent worth the money, it was again a great experience , my eldest child enjoyed playing pool in there too. Will 100 percent go back there when we next visit Cornwall!
Great Sunday lunch. Well cooked, big portions and great value. Very friendly staff and great surroundings
