Very quiet for lunch on a winter weekend. Foods pretty good. Large portion sizes and tastes home cooked rather than gourmet. Pretty clean inside, loads of parking and likely to go again to try something else. Not expensive either. Based on my experience today would stop in again.
Lovely local Inn with great food and hospitality. After only one night we felt at home. We stayed in the ground floor room, it was private, clean and more spacious than expected. Staff and locals made us feel at home in the pub, would recommend this gem to others exploring the area! Sunset and sunrise views not to be missed
New management providing warm and efficient good quality service all round. Stayed in our mororhome in designated area beside car park and only requirements was to use the pub. Excellent breakfast provided at very reasonable cost. Anna proved to be a friendly and welcoming host.Service: 5/5
We really wanted to love this pub as we had heard great reviews. We booked a table for 6.30pm and the pub was busy. We sat at our table by the log burner lovely, but things went wrong when ordering the food. The bar maid behind the bar took our order and explained that there would be a bit of a wait, I said that was fine but the bar maid said that as we had reserved a table, our order would be 1st. 1 hour and 25 minutes later we recieved our food. Cremated sausage and mash, and tasteless half rack of ribs. We won't be returning!
Parked my camper van in their parking lot. They were very welcoming had a nice evening with a couple of ciders beside a cosy fire. And best of all they were super dog friendly.
We didn't stay here so can't rate the rooms, however the service and food here was fantastic. All homemade food, wife had a curry and I had a burger! Hospitality was good and very welcoming. Will fldef go back at some point soon. Food & drinks: All homemade and fantastic value for money
Stayed in our motor home on the car park. Lovely staff. Dog friendly. Good prices. Highly recommend!Service: 5/5
Loved it. Opportune stop off at this first class Cornish pub. Only drinks this time but from the moment I ducked through the door and got a smashing welcome, I knew we'd have a nice time. Top staff, service and what a stunning setting. A very cosy pub and nice locals. Food looked great and hope to return one day to eat here. The garden is superb and makes me want to move to be closer to the area! Dog friendly also. Try the place if you're lucky to get the chance.
Such a lovely, friendly pub, warm atmosphere, great staff and good service. You can feel the history as you enter the door, have visited here twice over 12 months while staying at a caravan site up the road. Seating outside for the summer days, log fires inside for the winter nights. Dog friendly and visitor friendly.
Absolutely brilliant place! Loved the food! Everyone so welcoming! Felt like my local...I will most definitely be visiting when I'm that way again! Really missing the offshore! Brilliant pint!
