Nice cafe bar. Once was a great pub but the closing of the army training camp closed it down. Went for lunch there in September. They seemed to be running out of food as we wanted two fish and chips but only one available so one of us had a fish finger cob. That was the last one available too. But saying that the food was excellent and the customer service was great
Nice fish and chips enjoyed after a lovely clifftop walk from Crantock and dip in the sea. Good seating area in garden near beach. Although quite busy, food was brought out quickly.
APPALLING. Cold, unfriendly and downright hostile. You would think given a location that any business would die for the owners would cherish and make their business thrive. The exact opposite. ‘Unfriendly signs everywhere ‘We are closed on Monday’. ‘No alcoholic drinks after 6pm’. ‘No water’ for hikers , children or anyone!. Mean , horrible staff and an owner that does not deserve this prized location. ‘We are no longer a restaurant serving food’ a delighted senior staff told me after I had eating here for years with my family. AWFUL. Avoid like the plague.
Haven't had food there used it as a watering hole after the beach fou d no premium lager on tap and only one choice of white wine ,
Lovely place for a pint of rattler on a hot day ,after a strole on Holywell beachService: 5/5
Very nice bar, great outdoor seating and very close to the beach. We had dinner there and they got my order wrong. The chicken burgers were very average for the price, looked and tasted like store bought ones listed for homemade prices.
Was pleased to find this after a long walk from Crantock Bay. Great outdoor space and dog friendly.Service: 5/5
Nice location , only called for drinks , but found it very unsettling and couldn’t relax ! One member of staff was hell bent on telling everyone that they close the doors at 9.00 pm , they have stock taking to do and stuff like that , if fact she said 9pm all year . Fair enough , then the member of staff was heard shouting over to a colleague to make sure he told some customers that they close at 9 and they had 5 minutes to get a drink ! Then we were told again 9pm close , yeah ok we understand , then we were asked if we needed the toilet as the doors would be locked! People don’t mind you closing at 9 but it isn’t what you say it’s how you say it, we felt rather a hinderance more than a customer who just wanted to relax !
Great location and nice staff. Bit of a limited menu and I’ve never known a pub to charge for sachets of ketchup before, but all in all the food was nice and it’s a good spot.
Lovely food, fantastic building and close enough to the beach for a nice stroll afterwards. I can recommend the chilli cheese fries as a starter and the meat feast pizza was great. Would happily go again. Went earlier in the day for Cornish cream tea and was not disappointed!
