Beautiful location for a lovely meal! The view was spectacular, pictures do not do it justice. Food was lovely, reasonably priced for the location. Still having to order everything including drinks by app, which can be a little tricky if your a bit technically challenged and there is 9 of you lol. Noticed after that you can order on a lookalike macdonalds screen. Beautiful decor too! Can not wait to visit again xx
What a view! Had a fantastic experience here . Extremely well organised. Friendly meet and greet and lovely polite staff. Easy to order using an App or screen by reception . Great choice of food ranging from light bites to main meals. Delicious and hot. Immaculately clean considering how busy it was. Dog friendly and big bowls of water brought out for them ! Absolutely can’t fault the experience we had! Well done to the hardworking team involved
Visited twice on holiday, and can't wait to return. It can be a tad windy, so a jacket might be needed. Dog friendly too. Lots of seating. The food was incredible! Just needed a bigger table there are much bigger tables available Inside is stunning. Will be bringing family here for sure in summer.
Wow. How this place has changed. It is now VERY modern, it's like going into a hotel when entering, with people on a reception desk. To order, you either use an app or McDonald style screens. Service was fine, food was also fine. The location is exceptional. My big gripe is the car park, it's tiny. There is a carpark next door but this costs.
Not as it used to be. The revamp has made the place very clean, stylish & modern. Has totally lost its character. Order from the app, or a robot kiosk. No interaction with staff, very impersonal. Didn't order food, so can't comment. Drinks above average for price. Really nice coffee. Seems like a bit of a cash cow, not the quaint local pub it used to be. Cracking view though & great location, can't fault that.
Fantastic food, had an issue with a main which was resolved in no time at all. Incredible view, could do with being able to order at the bar as would increase sales and customer satisfaction instead of having to download an app or order from a digital screen... Just a thought! Thanks again for such a sweet time
Well what a shame this place was. Definitely not coming back again. Lovely location and views but wow the food was awful, especially for the price. Have to order on an app or a self service screen which doesn't have the option of tap water, and it's generally a faff. The drinks came out after two minutes followed thirty seconds later by the food which had clearly just been reheated. The biggest issue however was the fact that I had this weird bit of leather in my burger as pictured, thankfully I noticed it before taking a bite but jeez that was not good. The server was very apologetic about it all and I really don't blame the floor staff for this, its really the managements fault. Clearly the idea is get food out as quickly and cheaply as possible but charge a very high price, the owner just wants to make as much money as possible. I read a few other recent reviews that echo this sentiment so it's a shame, because it sounds like it used to be a great place. I have to stress again the waiting staff were fine, most seemed like it was a summer job. All the issues here are down to the owner who is trying to run a get rich quick scheme or something.
Lovely spot with fantastic views. Spotlessly clean venue. Food was quick, tasty & hot. The service again friendly & efficient...brilliant. Would definitely recommend a visit
A very nice pub with fantastic views, just a pity the weather was not good on our visit. Only had a drink so can't comment on the food but what we saw being served looked good. The bar is cashless so you have to either download the Bowgie app and order through that or there are kiosks by reception we're you can order and pay with a card.
Read lots of negative comments about the app. But I didn’t find this a problem at all. Really good value and tasty quiche, chips and salad at £10.00 for lunch. All with a great view of beautiful Crantock Beach.
