“ST PAULS is not just a commercial venture
but a place that radiates the truth about

Blessed James Alberione

Story

The Society of St Paul is a congregation of Catholic priests and brothers whose mission is to proclaim the message of the Gospel using the means of modern communications.

Through books, magazines, journals, film, radio, television, video and the internet, the Society of St Paul continues the vision of its founder, Blessed James Alberione, to follow in the missionary footsteps of St Paul the Apostle in bringing the Good News of Jesus Christ to the world.

Born in 1884, Fr James Alberione felt called to serve the Church in a particular way during a vigil of prayer on New Year's Eve 1900. In 1914, from this spirited vision, emerged the Society of St Paul. Fr James died in 26th November 1971 and was Beatified by Pope John Paul II on 20th December 2002.

The Pauline Family keeps alive Blessed James' vision with a presence in 32 countries as publishers, distributors and retailers, bringing the message of the Gospel to the world today. In the United Kingdom we have a Publishing House in Battersea, a Distribution centre in London and book centres in London, Birmingham, York and Leeds.

Great selection, quite overwhelming as a first time visitor. They have a lot of postcards, books and icons. Good prices, at least for some of the books I checked it was the same price as online Amazon and then I prefer supporting a specifically Christian store.
I had a very disappointing experience at St Paul’s Catholic Bookstore. The owner was not only incredibly rude but also displayed racist behavior, which made me feel unwelcome. I believe that a bookstore should be a place of inclusion and respect for all customers, and unfortunately, that was not the case here. I cannot recommend this store based on my experience I was going to purchase some keychains and the owner violently screamed at me after an explosive argument with another lady who left in tears
This shop next to the cathedral contains a treasure trove of religious items. You can buy everything from rosaries to statues of saints. There are also things like incense, second hand books and sacramentals. I often come to buy cards for all occasions birthdays, weddings, engagement, new home, holy communion, etc.. It's also nice to visit at Christmas for religious decorations, cards and gifts. They don't accept Amex.
One of my go-to places after attending a mass at Westminster Cathedral. For those who are Catholics like myself, you will definitely love this store. They have a wide array of pious articles from bibles, prayer books, daily readings, rosaries, sculptures, and a lot more. Their staff are very kind and helpful.
Very helpful and efficient!! Wish they would have had bigger selection of St George medals and prayer cards.
What an absolute treasure trove of Catholic item including some super rare finds....and from the outside we had absolutely no idea it was so big downstairs. It is fully accessible for the wheelchair and although a couple of areas were a tad tight we managed to visit and get the chair into every corner. If you need anything from prayer cards, holy water fountains, rosary supplies or the most serious study book or Bibles it's all here. And the staff we're very friendly and accommodating... we're definitely going to become regular visitors.
I travelled across Europe for this book shop . It is wonderfully stocked. The staff are all friendly and chirpy and always willing to help. They are also stocked with American publications which are hard to ship over to Europe. You can also find crib sets, mass items and vestments, statues of all sizes and Sacramentals of all kinds. It’s very easy to navigate through the shop and the children section is nicely stocked on a variety of themes for tiny ones to teenagers and home /teacher schooling. Best Catholic bookshop I’ve ever been to!
This is the main bookstore in London for a large variety of items for those that follow the Catholic faith. The store closes early for the after work crowd. There are an assortment of items for family and clergy. The cards, statues and other items are meaningful. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable. An essential store for Christians.
Popped in for a 1st Holy Communion card. No better place to buy one.
Has a variety of Catholic book collections including different versions of the Bible from different publishers. I was amazed to see the Christian Community Bible and the New Community Bible sold here too. It has fine collection of religious items and books. It is located just at the right side facing the Westminster Cathedral and near Victoria transport stations.
