Meanwhile en route to the Royal Academy, we chanced upon Maison Assouline on Piccadilly. This temple of premium coffee table books looks as good as it feels! Their collection is as fine as it gets. Stunning. Gorgeous. Exquisite. All housed in this two level emporium designed to seduce. You’re invited to peruse and enjoy. The staff behind the counter was very welcoming. His greeting was warm and genuine. In the corner is Swans Bar….we did not venture in but it looked tasteful. The entire showroom was definitely well curated and those coffee table books are screaming to be bought!
Just out for the day , and did see this place be for but did not have the time to go in , well we went in what a place lots of books but most are big books . saw the waiter and he showed us our table , we ordered our drinks , a very nice place to have a drink , great staff very helpfully :

Go here for the finest cocktails in central London. My negroni was the best ever and when I checked the ingredients I knew why - Boatyard double gin, Campari, Cocchi vermouth Di Torin, Pineau de Charente, burnt mandarin. Yes at £20 it’s more expensive than some other bars but I’m going back this week!
Loved this place for a long time, but went back recently and was amazed by Felix’s service! We had a few cocktails including classics and every single one tasted amazing. Attention to detail and a real and complete customer experience. Will definitely be back ;
Popped in here for my birthday cocktails with my fella and enjoyed lots of different cocktails at the bar. The mixologist/bar staff were amazing and friendly. They knew their stuff and we enjoyed all the cocktails made. It was nice to be surprised by the variety of treats and nibbles that came with the drinks. Would definitely like to return again, for bit of food and drinks. I didn’t get all pictures of the drinks we had but just a few. Thank you and see you again!
Really nice place ! The service was really good and loved the atmosphere for my business off work appointment. Makes it really cool place m. However my cocktail was too sweet and didn’t have much taste apart from a really sweet fruit juice I didn’t feel anything else.
Quirky bar. It's almost like a library set up, with a bar. The drinks were nice, and the ambience and staff was nice. However, it's generally very busy, so best to have a reservation. We went there 2 years ago, they had a cigar smoke infused drink, we were looking forward to that this time but unfortunately that had changed the menu. Would love it, if you bought back the cigar drinks!
As a collector of Assouline books, I can think of no better spot than Maison Assouline. The variety of Assouline books at this location far exceed the other locations I have visisited. I was able to find a rare edition of The French Riviera from the 1920's. Given I was traveling, the store offered to have it shipped. Shipping was seamless and perhaps the best packaging I have seen. The cafe is lovely with small pastries and coffee. This store is aesthetically beautiful and is a GO TO stop on any agenda in London!
Saturday strolls in London always comprises of a short pit stop in this chic bookstore in town. The bookstore in Mayfair owned by the French couple who have collected everything from art, travel, photography, vintage collections and published books but tops it with a nice cocktail bar... It’s everything in a building I could ever ask for. I love this place so much that I keep taking everyone I love there. It’s beautiful. Colorful. Dreamy and has got all my favorite things in there. The bar and cafe is absolutely beautiful too. A lovely experience in this book store always. Love it
