A huge thanks to Dan M at the Colchester main post office today. There was a huge queue and just him! He multi tasked, he was polite and courteous to customers whilst under enormous pressure. Never be rude to the staff who actually turn up! Thank you Dan, what an asset to the Post Office you are - I hope you got to eat your lunch! Especially as I found out you’re diabetic. Look after your staff better Post Office!
I was refused service. 10 minutes before closing I arrived to post a package. I needed an envelope. I was told by a kind lady I had 10 minutes and had to get envelope and pay for it in WHsmith section. I did this within a couple of minutes. I returned, filled envelope and started writing address. The lady left and her colleague, skinny, shaven head man, meanwhile started serving a gentleman who arrived in a hurry. As he was serving this customer, he leant towards me and said, it takes too long. You can come back tomorrow. I said 'but I am writing the address now'. No, it is taking too long, you can come back tomorrow. 'but I am writing the address!' 'No come back tomorrow'. I packed my things and left - he was still talking to the customer that arrived after me.
Very poor my mum asked for the check and sign . He just gave the forms and said we don’t do a check and sign service. My mum is 70 and dyslexic and would of liked a more understanding to help her . Rude staff , nasty attitude
Easy to find, quick service, very pleased!
I visited here recently in order to post a card to America. Firstly our letter didn't fit easily through the small letter slot, so we told the older lady serving us that we'll return - our intention was to rewrap the card to make it smaller. But then we realized it was the Sunday followed by bank holiday, so we went straight back to the counter to pay the higher price. She first told the girl she was training that we were wasting their time. We laughed because we thought she was joking - it later became apparent that she wasn't. She then asked my partner what it contained, to which he replied "a card". It was quite obviously a card. She then asked "what is really in there?", while rolling her eyes and staring at my partner accusing! I haven't decided yet, I might raise a complaint. If you enjoy being insulted when using their services, then I can't recommend this post office highly enough!
After wating 2o minutes in the queue I,said hi to the guy but he Ignored me . Secondly my bank card declined when I tried to deposit money into my accountfor some reason, but the the guy didn't allow me to try again.
The staff at this post office are phenomenal. In particular, Dan, whizzing around doing the job of 3 people all whilst filled with Christmas cheer!
Extremely understaffed! Lost my tracked and signed letter! Terrible experience every time : BAD costumer service or should I say NO costumer service onsite! It is definitely not an office anymore more like a 'post kiosk' within other shops.
It was a quick service! Not used to self service checkout at the post office but the staff were helpful.
This is undoubtedly the worst post office in the whole of Britain! Possibly even the planet actually! Never in all my life have I seen anything like the devoid, badly managed, persistently staffless carnage here!! Appauling would be giving it too much credit! Avoid this place like the plague!
