Generally a nice post office if you avoid the peak hours and located in a lovely historic building. I usually avoid it before 4 pm due to the standard 15-20 minute queues as there never seem to be enough staff employed, yet there are always empty desks there so perhaps Royal Mail could put some of it's earnings towards paying more staff. Some of the staff, usually the younger women and men, are lovely and friendly. Some of the older women are miserable and rude to customers for no apparent reason.The stationery and jiffy bags etc are insanely over priced so I never buy anything from here apart from stamps.One negative point is that this post office has no real telephone number, just an 0345 number, which gives no options to speak to anyone at the branch and just gives options for loans and mortgages! Very unhelpful, as all the other local branches actually have numbers that put you through to real staff, so I have to call them with any questions.

Ticketing system is a great idea, Shame you have to wait so long, but at least all your issues are sorted out in one place and checked for you. Sometimes we don't know how good we have it!

Late opening with a queue outside. When we were eventually let in with no word of apology I sat waiting watching a member of staff on counter D being really rude to a lady who was struggling to understand the postage prices, she was looking at her colleague tutting, huffing and talking to her like she was stupid. I wish now that I had said something at the time. Disgusting behaviour. 9.15 am 6/12/17. Hope I don’t have to go in there again.

When our number was out to be next on biometrics there was no staff at the window and they just jump on the next number after waiting for almost an hour. Very disappointed with service!!!
