We attended a private function so it was only our guests there. It's a lovely venue, spacious with plenty of seating. There's also an upstairs area with a glass balcony that overlooks the downstairs. Stylishly decorated.Food: 5/5

We got married here in June 2023 and couldn't be happier with our venue choice. The entire planning process was very smooth due to the very helpful Matilda who was a huge help in making sure our wedding planning was stress-free and our day was perfect. The venue is the perfect location for a London wedding as the streets are very quiet at the weekends meaning our guests could all enjoy drinks outside and we could get some fantastic photos without hardly anyone around at all. The food was a stand out part of our day, with countless guests telling us it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding! The menu options are great and we could not fault the food at all. Overall we had a great experience at Balfour St Barts and could not recommend it enough as a wedding venue!

We couldn’t have been happier with choosing Balfour St Barts for our wedding venue. Matilda was so helpful with the planning and arrangements. Everything ran so smoothly on the day and we received so many compliments about the venue from our guests. The staff were also so friendly and helpful. Thank you! This bar/restaurant is beautiful on the inside, draped in fairy lights and new, comfortable furniture throughout. They have an extensive wines list on the more expensive side which is great if you want to try something new, alongside a gin menu. I attended an open mic on a Monday night and got to see so many talented performers so it was a lot of fun!
Absolutely incredibly venue. We attended a wedding here at the weekend, and the service, food, atmosphere, environment was superb. The industrial vibe with the fairy lights, large windows and seating arrangements made the venue perfect. There was Nothing to fault. The food was top class and all 90plus guests ate steak at the same time. It was perfectly cooked, and tasted divine. The service at the bar was brilliant, any drink could be made and the standard of cocktails and prosecco was excellent. The bride and groom made a great choice picking The Balfour for their special day because the team on 22/10 did an amazing job to make it special for everyone!! Definitely returning to try out more of the menu
I was quite hungry so ordered a few bits here. It’s a cute little pub I would probably go more for drinks next time than food unless improved. Interesting and somewhat odd table layout… Shrimps - they were not as fresh as I’d hoped judging from texture. Burnt Ends - they were somewhat ok but the macaroni was more burnt than they were. Macaroni - Could do more cheese flavour and less burnt top… Like they used a blow torch rather than melt and crisp using the grill. Saving grace was pretty much the size of portions and reasonably friendly service. Though one member was more on it whilst the other seemed to care less about serving customers.
A super great London pub wedding venue - spacious inside and loads of fairy lights mean this is a great spot if you're getting married at one of the London Town Halls. There's fab space downstairs for dining, the snug bar is super cosy and the toilets are nice quite important, a lot of London pubs that do weddings have pretty dire loos! and, most importantly, it has a great space for dancing. There's also some cool spots nearby for couple photos - all the industrial stuff near Smithfield Market works really well.
A great place to unwind and to enjoy an excellent pint of beer. Great attentive staff. A mezzanine is always a plus, just a very pleasant place to go and have a drink! I thoroughly recommend as a base for exploring Smithfield and St. Bart's. Top marks.
