The number one place for world class steak, breakfasts and craft beer in London, is ‘SMITHS’ of Smithfield.

Established in 2000, ‘SMITHS’ is loved by regular guests and a welcome surprise for first timers. We are delighted to have launched our second Smiths of Smithfield site, Cannon Street.

For 16 years ‘SMITHS’ kitchen has only worked with British farmers and the country’s largest and oldest meat market – the iconic Smithfield Market – just across the road from the original Smithfield site.

Our Cannon Street site continues this tradition, delivering exceptional steaks alongside an extensive menu that will satisfy the taste buds of all its guests.

Each restaurant serves delicious food made from the finest seasonal ingredients, all delivered with a slice of fun and flair by an expertly trained and passionate team. Not to mention, the array of wine and dining choices is perfect for all budgets and tastes.

We originally booked the bar menu, but when we arrived we decided to eat at the first floor 'The Grill' as it was much more peaceful. We're so glad we did! The steak was excellent and I've been to a lot of steak spots. The fillet was tender and flavourful, it came with a tasty beef bernaise sauce and the oxcheek mash potato side is a must!! We also got the black gateau desert and virgin mary cocktail and couldn't fault a thing. Our server Alex was lovely. Would definitely come back! And the view from the top floor was lovely for us to take a quick look after. 10/10 all round!

The Food was amazing Chef Tim personally visited our table as well. Our server Harley was very friendly and helped with food decisions too! Amazing environment and worth the visit!Food: 5/5

We came here for some drinks on the rooftop to celebrate my birthday. We had a fantastic time which was made very special by our waiter Jordi, he provided excellent service and left a smile on all of our faces! Thank you very much.Food: 5/5

I recently ate at Smiths and everything was exceptional. The ambiance was cozy and modern, and the service was top-notch from Max —friendly and attentive. We had the best experience at Smiths. Having been many times before, we hadn’t been to the roof terrace. It is surely one of London’s hidden gems! The atmosphere was fantastic even though it was quiet, the food was of a very high standard, especially the seaweed foccia! What made the day so memorable was the service from Lenka. She was engaging, informative and knowledgeable. We are already planning our next visit, the whole experience was amazing thanks to Lenka, the salted caramel martini was decadent! Chris

Great steak restaurant converted from an old warehouse with top class food. Obviously very popular with the amount of customers present. Ground floor very noisy and difficult to order drinks. Next two floors more seating areas and all busy. Was in a group of 12, I had a 3 course meal which was very good and great service from staff. Steak was cooked perfectly. Would recommend if you like steak, variety of choice. Expensive but you get what you pay for.  Vegetarian options: There are options for vegetarians which one of our party was and they were impressed.

Came for drinks & dinner in the ground floor bar. While we enjoyed the cocktails & delicious, value-for-money food, the service wasn’t great to be honest. I had to negotiate a change of gin with the bartender for one of the cocktails, despite offering to pay the difference if there was one. The waiting staff just weren’t very attentive and it was confusing as to who was looking after us as we had lots of different people flirting round the table. I did appreciate the care taken with regard to my nut allergy. Good music & ambience

Went to Smithfield with a friend I hadn’t seen in six months. Was greeted by a lovely hostess called Sophie who took us through the wine menu and went above and beyond to take us through a few samples - FYI we landed on the Rioja. Adam from the kitchen was really lovely and accommodating to all our dietary requirements. However, we’d like to put a special shout out to Dilshad for showing extra care and attention after hours, went above and beyond to ensure we had a lovely time. Overall staff were very accommodating and lovely. Will be coming back, what a lovely evening.

First of all, the food in the restaurant. It is quite simply, amazing. And you can see that all the chefs work very hard to make it happen. Paired with the experience from the waiting staff and service, very professional. The staff are very knowledgeable of their menu and specials available. They where quick to make sure we where looked after for drinks and appetizers. All in all my experience of smiths of Smithfield was amazing and I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. Thankyou!
