This Pieminister restaurant was much less busy than other ones of the same chain in Bristol on Saturday lunch time. Concept of a burger joint adapted to the UK market with main dish - pies. Great variety and “adaptability” of the dishes, many options to choose from, however for the first time visitors the menu could be slightly overwhelming. I particularly enjoyed the fact how many vegetarian and vegan options were provided, also vegan gravy was delicious. Many options I would describe as a “classic dish with modern take” Overall, is a good place for lunch, service is super quick, friendly staff.
Visited this evening.. Great decor love the old school lights and tables and seats. pleasant staff food came quickly and didn’t hang around on my plate for long a good sign I’d say… thanks it’s a thumbs up from me
Super yummy pies with various sides available. Not all pies are available at all times, but usually a good selection. The service was friendly even though we were probably really annoying customers group of 20 coming from a weekend of physical workshops, being very hungry. The cider tastes lovely as well! Vegetarian options: Yes. And delicious!
Ordered here for delivery. Halloumi chips of £4,50. Please see photo. This is rediculous... it's literally 7 small THIN CUT pieces of halloumi... and it's not even tasty at all. They probably fry it a few times where I can't even taste the halloumi anymore. Worst £4,50 spent ever.
The service is slow due to understaffing, but overall a nice expeirence. Staff are friendly and food is nice. Definately give it a try if you can.Food: 5/5
I was quite disappointed by my experience when out for a Christmas dinner with friends. The food was decent and it’s great that there is such a variety of veggie and vegan options. However, the service was really poor. I imagine they were understaffed as there were only 2 staff members on the floor, but no one came to take a second drinks order and it took ages for our plates to be cleared. I was disappointed because I’ve had good experiences here before and I’d heard good things. But I definitely won’t be going again and wouldn’t recommend to someone else.
Went to Pieminister with a death defying hangover. A pie was definitely necessary! I have the Mother Earth, with the chuck a doodle?! fake chicken and tofu pie. It was delicious! My mate ordered the mothership with the same pie, and asked to make it vegan, and hers came loaded with vegan cheese! I could have died of jealousy! Highly recommend! #Veganuary

Went recently for a birthday meal / celebration around Halloween. A couple of minor points to get out of the way. The pie suffers from being served on top of the mash, the moisture from the mash compromises the pastry. Also the serving of mash is was a little stingy. Ultimately though all the food was very tasty. The fact the pie and gravy were both vegan & delicious was greatly appreciated. I also had an ice-cream sundae which was excellent. I've never been offered that option, see diet, so that was a very nice bonus too. Overall a very good place to eat, would come again!! Kid-friendliness: Menu you can draw on. Room for pushchair. Friendly staff. Dietary restrictions: Great vegan options.
Ordered online on Friday Ref.63DOB at 8:21pm: two pies and a portion of skin-on chips menu price £4.00. Delivered: two pies and a small pot of gravy menu price £1.50. Immediately tried phoning; 4 consecutive attempts in 5 mins, each time it rang with no answer for a long time before ending automatically. Used UberEats review option, which the trader supposedly receives. No response. At the very least, piss-poor service: running out of chips at 8.30 on a Friday evening; unacceptable substitute; zero communication. Was a fan of the restaurant - will never spend money with them again.
