Tried to return an unwanted birthday present I was gifted, was told I could only get a credit note. Thing is I can’t think of a worse store to spend £79 quid in than this place. Their refund policy must be illegal. AVOID sports direct.. morals and ethics are in the bin.
This store is huge, plenty of choice at decent prices, I just really dislike the Sports Direct returns policy, I'm sure it breaches consumer rights !! However, you can't complain about the value for money so I reluctantly shop here but only when I have to ! Plenty of free parking available.
SHOPPERS BEWARE OF THE PARKING SCAM!! Spent a day and might I add a small fortune Christmas shopping at Crown Point Denton. We spent a significant amount of money in this store on clothes for our children. Parked on the car park, finished the day with a meal on the retail park. Yesterday I received a parking notice, I went shopping their on 17th December, they processed the fine on 28th December, miraculously I didn’t receive the notice until January 10th to tell me that my fine would change from £60 to £100 if it wasn’t paid by 11th January, leaving me no time to appeal. Rang British Land who own the Crown Point only to be told that the parking had nothing to do with them, a blatant lie when the parking company clearly say they are issuing the fine on behalf of their customer. Paid the fine online to guess who? British Land, what an absolute scam. I will never spend another penny here on principle. I think that the shops operating on this retail park should make a stand against parking charges like this which will prevent customers returning and this is why my review is for Sports Direct and the other shops where I spent money on this day. The clothes and service I received in Sports Direct were great but I’ll never shop at this branch again due to this ridiculous system of charging customers who park and spend their money there.
Staff not helpful at all. Purchased a football top wanted name on back didn’t have the letters said come back next week don’t wear it.which I did on my third visit still no letters. Sorry and will never buy from there again soccer sports Denton. Cost me more in petrol and they never answer the phones.
Callum has shameful customer service. He is rude and unwilling to help, he wasn't with a customer we politely asked for help to which we received a snappy two seconds love, then he disappeared in the the stock room then ran the other way when he came out empty handed
So much better since they moved it, feels so much less claustrophobic, still not my favourite store, find it quite an uncomfortable shop to be in, I don't know why.
It was a lovely shop. I went to get a pair of football shoes and some shin pads. The staff there was really nice and they have every piece of equipment for every sports you could imagine of.
Usual great selection of goods/offers & staff really helpful & friendly today.
Below par. Never enough staff and the returns policy is poor. I bought some football boots for my son, when he tried them on at home, we realised one was faulty or damaged. Taking them back 1 day later they would only offer a credit note and would not agree there was a problem with the boot "they look ok". So I had to take the credit note regardless. After the note has been used up - I shall not go back. I've spent 1,000's there over the years despite the slightly chaotic approach and not enough staff. But now I've had it with them. More advice to viewers, we got the boots Adidas Preditors directly from Adidas online for £12 cheaper!
Visited earlier today and the man working in the Asics footwear section ladies was really helpful. He offered lots of advice and was really patient, so I ended up with the perfect pair of trainers. The store was clean and tidy and there were lots of great offers on as usual.
