Good food with decent portion sizes. Good service although it can get mega busy. Not sure about heat on curries. My biryani was pretty hot, almost as hot as supposedly hotter ones. Caters pretty well with larger parties.

Amazing food. Probably the best curry you'll ever have. However the service is painfully slow. You'll be in there for at least 2hrs but if you can manage that then the taste more than makes up for it. 100% food 10% service speed.

We were a party of 6 and couldn't fault anything. The food was lovely, freshly cooked and good portion sizes, It's nice not to be rushed between courses. All the staff were very friendly and I must admit they have upped there game considerably. Thank you for making our evening out enjoyable.

Louis young- spot on . Same happened to me a couple of weeks ago. When I finally got home after a 40 min wait in the restaurant, even though I had ordered over the phone, I looked in to the bag and found I was missing quite a few bits . £50 was spent. When I phoned up the manager ( ?) said to come and pick up the missing food, long story short, no apologies, no missing curry , no phone call back (as promised) Poor , poor customer service,. It’s a shame as the food is good and they will always be busy. Wish me never returning to their place would make a difference . Unfortunately not, I would rather spend my hard earned money on people who appreciate it, they certainly don’t at this place. Just take liberties, there are always people complaining abou waiting time and poor service. Frank Spencer would be more organised

On a list of humanities greatest disappointments, ordering from The Spice Village lies somewhere between The Holocaust and the birth of my son. Being too poor to take my mother fine dining for mother's Day, me and my siblings decided to order a curry after hearing good things from people online. Do not be deceived, as this is as untrue as eating your crusts as a child and being told you'll grow hairs on your chest. After being told our meal would be ready in half an hour, imagine our dismay as my brother in law was waiting at the the desk for considerably longer than this, resembling a lemon that I could use to squeeze on my bahjees. Upon returning home, we found two curries were missing despite being paid for. Despite my brother being a mongoloid product of incest, even he could count to six and see two meals were missing. I'd like to tell you there was a fairytale ending, that the curry house apologised, delivered the curries and offered a partial refund for our trouble as the rest of the meal went cold. Instead, they insisted we collect the curry, with no refund or apology. The service was observably poor from beginning to end, the manager having the customer service skills of Stephen Hawking with a flat battery. We received 3 poppadoms compensation, but the frustration, disappointment and disgust will leave a taste in the mouth for far longer. Do not go here.
