Service, fine, nice people. Atmosphere, it's a take away? But again all fine Food, well sadly disappointing. I must point out I'm no Indian food specialist, however our 3 meals tasted 99% the same. Chicken Korma, Chicken Mougol and Chicken Tikka Masala different colour They all tasted like a very sweet, coconutty Korma. Disappointed. Maybe someone could tell me what different ingredient are used in these 3 meals?
I think it depends on what chef is cooking, sometimes great other times sheer crap no longer eat hear because at the price of food today you don't want to be disappointed. Was loyal for a long time but do not like inconsistent taste, one dish I love is patia, should be spicy and sweat and sour, to taste all the flavours. But on more occasions lately its either bland, or just hot, and not tastey.
The food was so nice, we ordered here twice. Visiting Plymouth for a long weekend - took a chance here and paid off. Large group order arrived with not one mistake. Large portions. Delicious food. High quality and tasty. Nice clean store front. Very nice people.Food: 5/5
This is quite literally the best food I have ever had. A tropical sensation much akin to a party happened in my mouth. Ever since I had some of this delicious ambrosia from the Gods, my life has been on the up: I've been promoted, I've got married, I've achieved total financial freedom. All this success originated from one thing - Spice Merchant. Would recommend to anyone.

My meal arrived without the curry to go on the biryani the pappadoms rubbery this is the second time the have messed up won’t be using them againFood: 1/5
Looked to ordering our usual tonight from here but once I got to the checkout and saw the price I cancelled the order. So far in less than a year, the price has gone from £24 to £28 to now £31.70. I know prices have gone up, so has the cost of living too but seriously that's a ridiculous price for a meal for two people now more so for a takeaway. £7.45 to now £8.55 for a Kurma and £7.95 to now £9.15 for Tikka Massala and £2.95 to now £3.35 for Pilau Rice...plus not only has the prices gone up, the dishes they came in are HALF the size now, so your getting LESS for your money and it's MORE expensive...absolutely shocking. Shame, as we loved the food from there but WON'T be ordering again, ever...not at those prices.
I was looking for a new regular Indian in which I would use always. I thought I had when I used them previously! I was disappointed when I receive my order. No flavour, it was cold and pretty much just horrible!!!! Even my dog turn up her nose!!!! Will NEVER use this please again!! Also it wasn't a cheep order!!!! Such a disaster!!!!
As always good selection of food and yet again not disappointed with our selections. Good service as usual keep it up. Parking: All depends on what shops are open as to what spaces are available. After 6pm not to bad.
Our usual indian, well no more! Ordered from my previous orders tonight, expecting a chicken tikka masala and got tandoori chicken. Rang and spoke to an indian lady who was insistent I had ordered the tandoori, no help, no offer of exchange or refund. So cooked a ready meal curry to go with mine, then bit into the onion bhaji which was raw, undercooked and full of bits i've never seen before. Looking for a new indian as we speak.
