Extremely consistent with outstanding food, I also like that dishes tend to be served by a very pleasant gentleman who I assume is the owner. The choice of Nepalese and Indian dishes is very comprehensive, so even if you're not close I would say it's worth a trip to Plymouth. The decor is pleasant and prices are very reasonable.
Service was a little slow but the food was lovely!
We were pleasantly surprised by this place, having read negative reviews ignore those reviews, this place is lovely! The staff were polite and attentive, the food was amazing, and they use fresh quality ingredients. The chicken was perfectly cooked, the rice was perfect, the onion bhajis were perfect too. We thought things might have gone dry as we had the buffet, but everything was amazing. Definitely recommend this place, will certainly be coming back! This place is under new management, so if you've been before and not liked it, I'd go back and give it another try.
This IS the best Indian food I have had in years....the dishes are not runny, so great for dipping Nan Bread and the flavours are just delicious. Lovely staff....not pushy, but still attentive. Really nice coffee afterwards too...we have adopted this restaurant as our new family favourite. Oh...and it also has thick carpet on the floor, which makes it cosy and a lot less echo/noise than hard floors. Just brilliant.....
I booked up and went in here for my birthday with a large group of 19 people, and to be totally honest they just couldn't cope with us all. We waited around 2 hours for our food and there were some very hungry, annoyed and disappointed people in my party. However, the food I eventually had was absolutely lovely, and they served us with patience and smiles. I would definately try this restaurant again but with just two or four of us, as other smaller tables weren't waiting even half the time we were and the food was really good. Bit of a rubbish beer/larger selection on the night too, at one point cans were being emptied into pint glasses and still charged at full price, which I thought was terrible!
Really nice food, and the internal layout was very colourful and well presented. Very friendly staff, nothing to complain about really. Personally ordered the Sherpa Lamb - lovely dish that I'd definitely recommend.
Probably the best food I have had in a very long time. Absolutely beautiful food and service. Made us feel really welcome and at home. We will definitely be coming back ASAP Keep up the good work :
food was dry, not much selection for a buffet menu. the sweet selection of chopped fruit and a cheap cake smashingnot!!! decor very dated. wouldnt go again. only bonus is you get a nice mint and some chocolate to take the taste away when you pay the bill.
Updated review.... The restaurant is enormous and service is fast, friendly and non intrusive but the food is really not what it was and seems to be following the trend of Indian food being seemingly boil in the bag with vegetables and meat added. The sauces taste like Homepride cook in sauce and not as we are used to - after over forty years of eating Indian food I find this most distressing. My wife said her Chicken Tikka was bland and flavourless I hope the restaurant goes back to the rich dark flavourful curries of old
Atrocious! We ordered a delivery stating we had an allergy and not to use a certain ingredient. Instead of taking that into account they sent food with the allergen and failed to mention it. Fortunately we noticed before eating it otherwise we would have been extremely sick, we called them and they just didn't care and hung up on us. In the end we had to go through Just Eat to get our refund which we're still waiting for. Seriously not impressed.
