Specialist Endodontic Centre - Dani Mancuso & Chris Emery - Specialist Endodontist Root Canal Therapy in Hampshire

After a week of being in pain, I had my re-root canal with this lovely centre, I'm not surprised now anymore about all the positive reviews here. I had No pain at all during the procedure and even 5 hours later I still have no pain even without a painkiller. Lovely welcoming people, patient dentist and a kind nurse, really up to date tools and equipment! What else should I looking for?

Having been referred by my own dentist to SEC for root canal treatment, I arrived at 9am. I was greeted by friendly staff and then met Dani and her assistant. The X-ray machine was the fanciest I'd ever seen! Procedures were clearly explained, then into the chair for the injections and the treatment. I have to say that at no point during the treatment did I feel or experience any pain or discomfort - the very slight momentary 'sting' from the last injection into the roof of the mouth was the only sensation. The procedure took the best part of an hour and throughout I was 'checked I was OK' and was allowed to rest and close my mouth a bit during the various stages. After completion, I was shown the 'before and after' X-rays and the filled canals. As I type this 24 hours after my visit, I have had no post-treatment pain, have needed no pain-killers and am only vaguely aware that I've had a procedure. It is so good and reassuring! to see and feel an expert at work and this was a very comfortable and professional experience for what has always been portrayed as one of the worst things to go through. I was very nervous of having root canal treatment but I can honestly say that it was fine. I was incredibly well looked after, there was no pain and everything was very calm and controlled, so I felt reassured and in safe hands throughout. Everyone was very patient, gentle and caring for which I was very grateful!

I recently had my 3rd vist to Specialist Endodontic Centre in Southsea, and I would never go anywhere else... Over the last few years I have needed three root canal procedures and I was originally referred in 2017 to Specialist Endodontic Centre by my dentist. I imagine that most people have concerns when requiring dental work and root canal work is likely to raise the concerns even further. My first discussion was with Sarah, the Practice Manager — she has a vast knowledge and was very reassuring. My Endodonist is Dani and she is clearly an expert in her field. Her patience and obvious skills are very reassuring and with all three procedures I have never been anything other than extremely impressed and totally relaxed for the duration of the visit. I will never have any apprehensions regarding root canal work in future, and I have Dani to thank for that. Dani doesn't rush the procedure and she has a very calming, reassuring and caring manner, regularly asking that you are okay and quietly discussing every stage with her Dental Nurse who works closely alongside her at all times. I can honestly say that throughout the whole process I never once felt concerned and was surprised just how relaxed I did feel. My first treatment with Dani was about 5 years ago and those two teeth are still absolutely fine today. My latest appointment was yesterday 14th September 2022, and in fact I self-referred myself on this occasion by contacting Sarah initially who discussed and liased with Dani for me — and we then arranged my appointment within less than two weeks. Dani has definitely saved three of my teeth which otherwise would have been extracted, so I am very grateful indeed and have admiration for Dani's expert skills and wonderfully reassuring manner while she is working on my teeth. I can wholeheartedly recommend Dani and her wonderful team at "Specialist Endodontic Centre". Even though I have to travel a fair distance it's worth every mile to ensure faultess dental work. Alan

My dentist advise me to go to the Endontic Centre as I needed treatment before I could have some new crowns fitted, so I thought it best to go, I must say I was dreading it as I always get very nervous going to the dentist anyway. But I needn’t have worried at all . I had to have two root canels done with micro surgery so had to have my gums cut, which was very daunting, but I must say from the first moment i walked in to the centre everyone was lovely. Before I had surgery Danny was reassuring, kind and very professional and put me at total ease, whilst she was doing the treatment she made sure I was ok and if I needed her to stop she would, but I didn’t have to as I really didn’t feel much at all. A week later Iv had my stitches out and all is good and healing very well,can’t thank Dani and her colleagues enough for putting me at total ease all through my treatment . Kind Regards Sandra

I have just finished the root canal treatment with Dr.Vanderley Da Silva and his assistant Karen. My case was particularly complicated as I had a completely broken tooth and old fashion filler in my root canal about 14 years old which caused an infection. I was suggested by my local dentist to have an implant, as the canal was very narrow and it was a risk that it could fracture during the cleaning. I decided to take the risk and I am pleased I did. Fortunately, due to highly skilled specialists, all went well, the post and core was placed after the new filler used in the root canal. I left the practice with very reasonable look, ready for my dentist to shape the newly made tooth for the crown. I must also mention a wonderful service from Reception. I had a few questions before my appointment, which Receptionist Sarah haven't got the answers for. She promised to speak to the specialist and phone back. And she did! I was given full information I needed which made me feel quite comfortable and happy, as root canal always sounds so scary. But it's not at all. Although it took 1,5 hours I was very comfortable and relaxed, no pain at all. Doctor Vanderley constantly informed me about what was going on and Karen was looking after me as well. I am over the Moon that I have managed to save my tooth and would highly recommend this Practice.

Excellent service from initial contact courtesy of my regular dentist to when I completed my course of treatments route canal procedures, which foolishly I'd ignored for too long . Vanderley discussed the procedure in just the right amount of detail & gave me opportunities to ask questions . He was sensitive enough to proceed at my pace, as a result of which I left feeling far more relaxed than I was when I arrived, which in turn meant that I arrived for my 2nd appointment with no sense of foreboding .. Vanderley's assistant worked well with him, indeed we were able to add humour to the 2nd appointment, e.g. I quipped that I'd write a Trip Advisor review . Last, but by no means least, Carol on reception was welcoming & helped establish the relaxed tone . Thanks again....

My own Dentist's glowing recommendation to ask Dani Mancusa to carry out my root canal treatment was well founded. I felt immediately reassured in the clinic that I was in good hands. My appointment was for 9am when a CT scan was carried out, local anaesthetic was then expertly delivered very comfortably I am a nervous patient and a root canal treatment carried out calmly and efficiently. I walked out at 10 20 feeling secure that a professional job had been done. £850 - one might expect a higher price for such a fantastic service. Thank you to Dani and your team, I hope I care for my own surgical patients as well as you do yours were my thoughts as I left. Your example is a credit to dentistry.

What a super practise - very efficient, friendly and communicative from start to finish. I was hugely nervous but was treated with the utmost kindness from the minute I entered the practise till the moment I left! All the staff were very keen for me to have a pleasant and pain free experience and that is exactly what I had. Never usually keen to have dental treatment, I’d return willingly and have my whole mouth renovated if I could! A super experience - thank you to all.

I was referred to the Specialist Endodontic Centre to have two root canal treatments on my existing crowns as they required attention prior to replacement. I was at best apprehensive about the treatment as the first time I had this done 20 years ago it was frankly excruciating. However, my experience this time around could not have been more different. I was reassured and the treatment explained, and I can say in all honesty that it was entirely painless and not even especially uncomfortable. I would highly recommend The Specialist Endodontic Centre and would say to anyone concerned about having this type of treatment, don’t be… My thanks again Dani and the team for a great experience.
