We got married in The Garden Room in July 2024 and we had such an amazing experience. The rooms were beautiful plus the gardens were the perfect spot for photos. Lorna who married us was so warm and made us feel completely at ease, the day felt so special — would recommend to anyone.
Our daughter was married there last Wednesday and it was a wonderful event. The officials were fabulous, making everyone welcome and sharing in the joy of the occasion. We expected a far more formal experience but were delighted with the way everything was handled. Thanks so much to all who helped make it such a memorable occasion.

I attended a wedding recently and at the beginning felt quite welcoming. They had a previous wedding running a bit late which is understandable. However when my friends formal ceremony finished they kept closing all doors they even rushed the photographer out of the door with the grooms and shut main entrance abruptly. It felt robotic, hostile… like you were in A&E.
We got married here. The room was good but it was a very bad experience. Rude and grumpy staff, and they rush you even while you are still within your allowed time limits. The gentleman who welcomes at the door was really nice. But the people who administered the ceremony treated us terribly. They kept pushing around us, our guests and our photographer while also being grumpy all the time. The council should properly train these people and monitor the service they don't provide. Avoid if you can!!
Outstanding service by Kenny, she had the patience for me even though I was late and made me feel comfortable. Took her time to explain everything to me well.
Fantastic!!! The staff at Southwark Register Office have been amazing. Natalie was really friendly and patient with us when we registered our notice of marriage and our email queries were answered promptly in the lead up to the big day. On our wedding day, we were put at ease by Laura and Ricardo. Ricardo is a great speaker and communicator. He engaged with the photographer, ringbearer, witnesses and guests and made them all feel special. Laura was welcoming, friendly and helpfully took control of the music when nobody else could do it. Thank you so much for making our day really special.
From the first time we attended the registration and 2 more times the lady with long blonde hair who does not want to give her name. HE HAS TREATED US WITH DISCRIMINATION AND DISPLACEMENT. We sure don't speak perfect English or we're not blond. now if we do not pay what they ask us, the day they ask us and in the place they chose for us, we will lose the initial money £70 pounds and the time, and all the economic arrangements for our family to accompany us. everything is a business It's sad to find people there in a country like the UK where it's multi-ethnic and multicultural with doors open to migration. It is an abuse what happens in this registry.
We had a fantastic experience serving notice and having our civil partnership at Southwark Register Office. The staff were so helpful, friendly and polite and gave us helpful advice where we had queries. Thank you so much!
