Amazing value for money, especially with small children in the current cost of living crisis. Great level of room/tables for your meals and a good variety of menu for adults, children, vegetarian etc. Very impressed with the combination of offers and if you sign up to their newsletter you instantly receive a £5 off voucher. Will definitely be back.
Called for a little bite to eat, food was good, service was good. My only concern was the smell of urine where we were sitting over near the conservatory side, hopefully when we visit again this issue will be sorted
Been coming here years and overall service is good. Polite friendly helpful staff, particularly at time of writing, so no complaints there at all. Occasionally we have needed to have a grumble about something or other, but complaints have always been dealt with professionally. The Southfields is part of the sizzling pubs chain, and the food they serve is delivered to them, and they heat it up to serve. Menu is a bit poor in terms of quality and selection for vegetarians, but the prices are not too expensive and it's decent enough to keep us returning time after time. Like I said it's a sizzling pub and right now I can tell you the standards in the kitchen far exceed those at the other venue a few miles away, and this has been the case since before the coronavirus 2019 pandemic. Consistently orders are accurate and presented well, and cooked properly. From that point, what they do, they do well enough. It's not their fault the chain isn't blazing a trail. It's OK to take the kids to eat, the bar are with pool table are separate. Live sports is shown and this makes for a reliable place to sit down grab a burger and a few pints over the big game. Vegetarian options: There but limited.
Absolutely loved this gem . Great place at a nice quiet location. Great food and drinks menu. Very friendly staff as well. This will be our regular now!
I wasn't impressed by the price of 2 drinks being £12 and that was for a pint of Stella and vodka and come, I was impressed with the £5.25 triple cheese toasty served up with seasonal chips until I started to eat it. I'm pretty sure a mouse had been in and stole it as there was next to no e on. It was a warm coleslaw sandwich basically, the chips were that hard that if I threw one at a window it would have gone through. £25 for 2x warm coleslaw butties and 2 drinks was not what we were hoping for, Must say though the staff was pleasant and the place is actually set in a lovely setting, lots of our door seating and ample space inside.
I went I on Thursday for the quiz other than starting late I had a really good night. the food was amazing really would recommend to any one looking for a quiz night. lots of promotions to keep the place packed and full of a friendly atmosphere. the staff were nothing but helpful and there customer service from lou and Katie was impeccable Will definitely be returning!!
Chips were nice and my partner enjoyed his food, but I ordered the Margherita pizza and it was soggy underneath. Explained situation to the manager who offered me a new side instead, so I ordered the normal garlic bread but they send cheesy garlic bread out instead. My partner had to scrape the cheese off so I could eat it I don't like cheesy garlic bread and after that, the garlic bread was nice.
Always a great pub and restaurant me and my family come here often and staff are normally great let us keep the kids in longer than 9pm however had a bad experience tonight staff calling myself and family disrespectful for the mess even though we offered to clean it up with the other waitress from the baby throwing crisp and tissues on the floor I put crisp packets together and tried to clear up best I could. I always appreciate the staff and I even leave tips but I was very upset tonight as I'm a regular and telling my brother who isnt here often that we are rude and disrespectful to leave the mess without asking my self why it was left.if this is the conditions and its that much trouble for them to clean up after a baby then we will not be coming back unless convenient for us and I won't bring the baby as I don't want to upset the staff and leave a mess. Kid-friendliness: Usually very kid friendly however do not leave a mess or u will be classed as disrespectful Parking: Free parking
Had a really good visit to this pub today, the food was so nice we had a steak that was cooked perfectly and some chicken skewers, waiting staff were really attentive especially to our little girlthanks lou and Kirsty!, will definitely be back in the new year! Drinks not the cheapest but they said cheaper on a Monday, so will try it then, helpful staff too. Kid-friendliness: Staff were great with my baby Parking: Loads of parking
Came here a few weeks back with some friends for a socially distanced meal. Couldn't have been more pleased with our experience. Upon arrival the manager outlined the policy they have regarding social distancing and the bar, then we were ushered to our table. Ordering was straight forward, you could do it either at the bar or in the app. The food was great, I ordered the mixed grill which was huge. Service was a bit slow but I'm putting that down to Covid and them being short-staffed. My friends all enjoyed their meals including the desserts. All in all would definitely come here again.
